How to remove timer knob and timer
For model number LXR9245EQ0
Hello Randall and thank you for writing.

Changing the timer itself:
Unplug unit.
Using our Phillips screwdriver we're
going to loosen the two screws that are
in the rear corners noticing them enough
that the control panel end will move
freely from the main top do the same on
the opposite side now once we have those
freely and check that control panel roll
it straight back and we'll locate the
timer shaft and with a flat blade
screwdriver on first of all make sure
that the knob is pressed firmly down and
we'll pull that shaft boot with our
screwdriver you can pull it right out of
the timer if you wish that will allow us
to remove the knob and the mob skirt and
this small 3/16 screw
we'll then roll that control panel back
again and then we're going to lift up
gently on that tab front while we're
pushing the timer towards the center
console and then pull away from the
the console will next need to lift up on
this locking tab and remove the wire
rise then pull that house off you can
then discard the old timer
take the new timer then we're going to
line up that locating Ted put the pin on
the timer press it firmly on so that's
the locking tab on the harness engages
we'll need to make sure that we get
these two legs and the slotted openings
at the back then we'll also need to make
sure that we line up this metal tab okay
right here has to fit into that plastic
open slay the timer flat against the
control panel and then just pull it back
and show that that metal tab slid into
place another locking tab dropped into
the open can then reinstall the screw
through the front
we'll just snug that up and next, we'll
want to pull the shaft back away from
the timer will set our knob skirt in
place we'll fit the knob on to that
shaft press it firmly against the dog's
skirt and then from the back we'll press
that center shaft locks it on and now we
can tuck the console back onto the main
top we want to ensure that we engage
these three hooks on either end of that
control panel fit into the slotted
openings in the main top just pull it
straight back and then tighten the
retaining screws in the corners
we're now ready to reconnect the power
and our repair is complete

The job looked intimidating but turned out to be very easy. First take off the water pump by removing the two clips that hold it in place. Place a shallow pan under the pump to catch the water that is in the pump and hoses. Open the hose clamps with a pair of pliers or channel locks (better) and slide the hoses off of the water pum
... Read morep. The motor comes off next. Unplug the electrical connector from the motor and two wires from the capacitor. Remove the two screws holding the clamps in place and then pop off the two clamps. You will need to hold up the motor with one hand while you remove the clamps or it will fall to the floor once the clamps are removed. One piece of the coupling assemble will be attached to the motor and the other will be attached to the gearcase drive shaft. If you want to clean up the mess created by the shredded rubber center piece of the coupling assembly you will have to take off the motor mounting plate. It is held on by two bolts and removing it makes installing the coupling easier but probably not necessary. Push the back half of the coupling on to the gearcase drive shaft until the shaft is flush with the face of the coupling. Install the new rubber center piece on to the coupling then re-install the motor mounting plate. Install the other half of the coupling on to the motor shaft and lift the motor up to the coupling. You have to rotate the motor shaft by spinning the fan blades until the coupling lines up so you can slide it into the other half of the coupling. Then just reattach the motor, connectors and water pump in the reverse order of disassembly.
First pry off the cap of the agitator. Then using a socket remove the bolt that holds the plastic cup in place. Remove this cup by prying it loose from the two tabs that hold it in place. (You may want to remove the entire agitator and assemble everything upside down, then flip it all back over to mount, so the cogs don't fall out). Tighten the bolt, snap the cap back in place on top of the agitator and your'e done. Easy repair.
