leaking water out of the bottom
I goggled kitchen aide parts. This is the site I chose. The site was so easy to use. I found my problem listed and the site showed me the part needed which was an inlet valve. I ordered the part without any problems. It was very easy. Received the part as scheduled. My husband installed the part. I could have done it myself because the site shows step by step instructions with pictures. I have told everybody I know how impressed I am with site. I thought it was for Kitchen Aide appliances only. I just discovered this site has parts for many brands and types of appliances. I will now tell everyone to use this site anytime they need parts for their appliances. I'll continue using this site myself. Thank you for a painless repair experience. My dishwasher works great again.

door would just drop down with no counterbalance in effect
I pulled out the unit, which proved to be the hardest part of the repair. Once it was out about half way I could remove the rope and pullies on both sides of the unit and then install the repacement units. Then I needed to stretch the springs and attach the rope clips. Spide the unit back in place and it works great.

Sound of a bearing wearing out, louder than normal operation
Removed the screws under the counter, retracted the leveling bolt jacks, turned off power to unit, turned off water supply to unit and made sure that all the water was out of the unit. Disconnect supply and drain lines. slide out unit from under counter and put protection over the door then lay it over onto the door. unplug the motor remove the screw that holds the motor in place, turn the motor counterclock wise, wiggle the motor in a side to side motion and it will come right out.(GLOVES ARE RECOMENDED FOR THIS OPERATION). Use cooking spray or olive oil on the O-ring. line up the arrow on the pump housing with the arrow on the pump motor and put the unit back together in the reverse order. Test the unit with a operation of a quick rinse to check of leaks. This is a very easy repair.

Motor worked but had become very loud
Watched the videos on Parts Select and one or two on other sites to get an idea how difficult the repair was. Ordered the part (circulation pump motor). I waited until I had the time to do the repair and a couple of extra hours just in case (ignore Murphy's Law at your own peril). The most time consuming parts were removing the connections (water supply and drain pipe) and dishwasher from the cabinet. Changing the motor was easy but make sure you have a nut driver with a long shank (8" or longer) to reach the nut holding the motor in place. After the repair, replacing the connections, and moving the dishwasher back into the cabinet, I left the kick plate off and ran the dishwasher to make sure the connections were water tight. Success. Dishwasher purrs like a kitten.

Door balance link of left side of door string broke
Ordered the part. It arrived in less than two days. Turn the power off for safety. You're done. You may have to loosen the drain line or water line to allow space to slide dishwasher far enough out to allow access to link kit. Easy repair. Video on your website gave detailed instructions. Thanks.

brocken door balance cord
It was a fairly easy repair job after we got the dishwasher out of its space in the counter. To accomplish this make sure that the water line is shut off and disconnected and allows enough movement to move the washer out at least far enough to expose the balance cord and spring. Ensure that the electrical connection line shut off and is free enough to allow movement of the washer. Finally, ensure that the dishwasher is lowered, if necessary, to clear any obstructions, top and bottom. Move the washer out far enough to work on her balance cord and get on with the repair job.

A few weeks ago there was a grinding noise when running the dishwasher. We ignored it. About a week later the top rack stopped getting any water. I cleaned the chopper assembly but the problem came back after a week. Looking more closely, the chopper was damaged and the impeller had been stripped (p
The video is very helpful for replacing the Chopper Assembly. For the Impeller, reference the video for replacing the motor: http://youtu.be/pAKz1gMUWDA But once you have the motor removed and you identify the impeller, you need to insert a tool into the back of the motor to hold the impeller still from the back while you unscrew it in the front (I used a small wrench, a thin screwdriver would be ok too). Then, just screw on the new piece and follow the rest of the video to put everything back together again. Nothing this stay-at-home mom couldn't handle while the kids watched a tv show.
