Broken door balance link
The repair of the link itself would have been just as easy as shown in the video--but 1. It was not clear what hole to put the screw in; 2. it was not easy to pull the spring close enough to make the link with the cable. Pretty strong spring. Aside from that, the business of getting the dishwasher out of the cabinet and then back in again--properly aligned, was time consuming. PROBLEM: now the door tips to the right, brushing the edge of the body, and has to be pulled leftward to correct it. Is this a matter of which hole I've used to put the screw in when I replaced the mechanism?

Door balance link broke on one side.
Pulled the dishwasher out from under the counter, replaced both sides of the door balance with the new kit and pushed the dishwasher back into place. The most time was taken getting the dishwasher out.

One cable of door balance link snapped; I replaced both sides
I followed the very clear instructions from your video. Excellent.BUT --there were associated problems along the way--removing the front plate and finding two there; leveling the washer evenly while lying on the floor. The spring was tightly sprung and not so easy to hook up for one old guy alone. Little things like that. In short, the video was excellent but for an amateur pulling out a dishwasher for the first time it was more time-consuming and trickier than I'd hoped. But I wasn't really surprised. The point is: it works now! Thanks

Original chopper assembly had broken, was rattling and debris was blocking pump to upper spray arms.
Repair was straight forward. The video description was excellent. Pay attention to where the chopper assembly sits in the cavity, there is a second location closer to the impeller, but this is not where it goes.

water leaking into dishwasher when not running
First I had to figure out what was going on. After the 2nd time of being gone for about a week we came home to water on the floor around the dishwasher. After 1st time I thought leak started after starting dishwasher. Checked all connections while running but found nothing. Wrote it off as an anomoly probably due to a dried up seal that reseated. Realized after 2nd trip when we came back and found water on the floor it was when dishwasher had not been started. Figured the water was leaking thru the water inlet valve. To determine that I pulled dishwasher out and removed hose off from outlet. With dishwasher off, water was dripping out of the inlet valve with water feed on. Realized then that if I left dishwasher off overnite there may be a fair amount of water in the dishwasher. I was correct. If dishwasher was used every day or every other day we never had problem. Only when we left for a long period of time did we experience the leak. Funny thing is the leak was within the plumbing but after the inside of dishwasher filled it would start overflowing. To repair, first turned off power and shut water off. Pulled dishwasher out for easier access. Then it was a matter of removing outlet hose using pliers to pinch clamp to open, then removing screw that held bracket in place (nutdriver). This allowed easy access to remove fitting from old inlet valve using adjustable wrench. Once off I put new teflon tape on and threaded fitting onto new valve using adjustable again. Reinstalled bracket using nut driver and put hose back on using pinch pliers. All was good after that. Even checked water in the dishwasher tub after a nite or 2 of no use and no water leaking in at all. Just like new.

the tine on the end rusted out and wouldn't stand up anymore
Pulled two clips off the rack and removed the tine row. Put the new tine row in, had to put both clips on at the same time. Very glad that the clips we had were not bad, because if they were, we would have had to order new clips too. They might consider including that with the tine row. Otherwise a fairly simple job.

Replace Dispenser
Watched the video several times and made notes. The video is excellent and by following the procedure outlined it was like painting by the numbers. I could have done the job in under an hour but I'm slow and doubled checked everything as I progressed. My only remark is to make sure after snapping the dispenser in the door make sure the unit is all the way to the right before tightening the screws.

Door fell down too easily
This repair was very easy to do. I was able to attach cord anchor to springs without pulling the dishwasher out more than about 10 inches. No disconnect of hoses were required since I had enough slack in the water line. Replacement of the Door Balance Link (big plastic part) was done with only 10 inches of the side exposed. Only one link was broken but the the other side made a groaning noise so I replaced both sides.

Door Balance issue- cable snapped
Follow the online instructions- the only piece of information that was missing is how to deal with the tension in the line when you connect everything. I used a screwdriver for leverage and got things into place- BUT, I got the impression that this could be dangerous. Be careful. Otherwise, easy as you can imagine- also be careful pulling the dishwasher out from under your cabinet- you don't want to inadvertently disconnect something.

Nylon rope broke on one of the door balancers causing the door to drop quickly when opened
The repair went smoothly. I watched the repair video on this site which made the job much easier. The repair kit comes with 2 new balancers, so I replaced both of them while I had the dishwasher out from under the counter. Great experience using the PartSelect website. From locating the replacement parts, ordering, shipping and repair.

door fell when opened
pulled the dishwasher out, we found that the door balance link had broken, then ordered the link kit, which arrived the next day. replaced the spring and links, very easy to do after watching the how to video. I do reccomend ordering both springs and link kit together. we are very pleased with the results, the door works perfectly.
