The middle spray arm wasn't working properly because the delivery tube was broken
The hardest part was removing the clips to pull out the upper rack. I had to call my husband because my arthritis limits my grip strength. Since he was there I let him use the screwdriver. The whole procedure took about 5 minutes and it's like having a new dw. I really like the rigid delivery tube on this replacement part. The main reason for the problem in the first place was crimping of the tube.

The long part that fits from the upper spray mount to the middle spray arm had broken.
We followed the instructions that were given in the repair video, below the parts that we had ordered. It all went well, and the washer is back on duty. Thank you.

broken spray arm pivot
Unscrewed the retaining screw on the old one, popped the new part onto the upper basket and I was done! The new part does not require a screw to retain it. The pivot is angled to allow the spray bar to clear the basket as the arm rotates. Remember to install the part correctly to allow rotation.

I broke the spray arm off of my Kenmore Dishwasher
Yes, it's true, I broke my own dishwasher. I had loaded it and the door wouldn't quite shut all the way. I opened and inspected it to see what was blocking the door from closing. Didn't see a thing. So, the next time I shut the door I pushed a little too hard and snap. In a panic, I immediately searched for the parts to get it fixed. (Because I sure didn't want to hand wash my dishes....SPOILED!) I went to Part Select and found the parts quickly. They were shipped in a very timely manner and the installation was super easy. I absolutely love the fact that a video is provided! Super tool! I another part is needed, I will most certainly be utilizing Part Select! Thank you!

Great dishwasher - wanted to change color to black
Unscrewed and removed Access Panel and Toe Panel. Removed four screws holding Control Panel to door and pulled panel free from door and held it in hand until removing the electronic panel which I left connected to the door. Removed the two screws at bottom of Door Panel and removed panel. I used the original door latch (almond color) as it was not visible from outside. Installed new parts in reversed order. Very easy and looks great.

Broken door spring, resulting in the door crashing down if you let it go
An easy job. One spring was broken, but I replaced both while I was at it. Take off the two lower front panels by undoing the retaining screws accessible from the front of the dishwasher. With the door closed, you can see the brackets attached to the door on either side, with a hole at the end of each for the spring. The base of the dishwasher frame has a toothed rack to take the other end of the spring. The further back you put the spring on the rack, the more tension you have on the spring(s) to keep the door closed. Hooking the spring first on the door bracket and then on the base rack, with a bit of muscle (but not too much needed), completes the repair. The longer straight end of the spring attaches to the door, the shorter straight end to the rack. Check on the door opening and closing, to make sure the tension is satisfactory, before reattaching the panels.
