The door ajar (red door) on the display stays on when both doors are closed. The icemaker and water dispenser aren't working either.
For model number KRFF507EWH01
Hi Joanne,
Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, "The Door Ajar Alarm feature sounds an alarm when the refrigerator door(s) or freezer drawer is open for 5 minutes and
cooling is turned on. The alarm will repeat every 2 minutes. Close all doors and drawer to turn it off. The feature then resets and will reactivate when either door is left open again for 5 minutes. NOTE: To mute the audible alarm while keeping the doors open, such as while cleaning the inside of the refrigerator, press any button on the control panel. The alarm sound will be temporarily turned off, but the Door Ajar icon will still be displayed on the dispenser control panel." If the ice and water dispenser is also not working, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the ice bucket auger, the ice container, the door switch, the water inlet valve and you should also check the electronic control boards as well. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Why does my evaporator coil freeze over
What parts could be replaced to prevent this from happening
For model number KRFF507EWH01
Hello David, thank you for your inquiry. The defrost heater turns on several times throughout the day to melt away any frost that may have accumulated on the evaporator coils. If the defrost heater does not turn on, frost will continue to accumulate on the evaporator coils, and the coils will eventually frost over. To determine if the defrost heater is at fault, use a multimeter to test the defrost heater for continuity. If the defrost heater, part number PS11738607, does not have continuity, replace it. Good luck with your repair!

My refrigerator is showing a po message on the front. I have done what was recommended, cleaned the coils and unplugged it for 10 minutes. I am still getting the error message. Please let me know what i need to do.
For model number KRFF507EWH01
Hi Alexis,
Thank you for your question. According to the KitchenAid website, if you are still getting the "PO" (Power Outage) message on your refrigerator, the control panel temperature display will read “PO,” and an alert tone will sound three times. “Confirm” will blink until you acknowledge the power outage by pressing MEASURED FILL under “Confirm.” Once the power outage has been confirmed, the “PO” will disappear, and the display will return to the Home screen. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

Ice dispenser motor burnt out, water got inside.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy.

called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.

while closing the door, the light switch fouled, resulting in the switch breaking
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
