I replaced the fuse, it blew again. Stuck in up position. What can I test ?

Hi Bob, thank you for your inquiry. The fuse helps protect the control board by shutting off the downdraft vent motor if there is a power surge. Having too many devices plugged into one electrical outlet, blackout-related electrical overloads, having the wrong lights installed, or using the wrong fuse can be the cause of blowing the fuse again and again. We recommend you switch off the power and then replace the fuse, part number PS11750779. We hope this helps!
The retractable range ventilator stopped working in the up positiion. Removed grease filter. Removed existing CONTRL-MTR. Disconnected 2 flat control cables and connected them to new CONTRL-MTR and installed the new CONTRL-MTR. Also replaced the push button switch. Replaced grease filter. ... Read morect but not come back up unless I lifted the top trim piece with the push button switch in it and stuck a tooth pick in the hole to activate the switch. The down rod of the new pushbutton switch was too short. I then noticed the old push button switch had a very thin hard plastic tube extending the down rod. I transfered the tube to the new switch and it worked OK.
