Ice maker stopped making ice
Extremly easy - just followed the video exactly. Changing the ice make out couldn't have been more easy. when the ice maker was out - noticed some ice build up in the filling water tube. Used the hair dryer to defrost (will replace the double outlet water valve to stop this once my husband is there to help me pull out the frig.) We now have perfect ice cubes. still slowly having issues with some ice build up - but know the water valve is bad too. more to come!!

old ice maker failed
The replacement ice maker was exactly the same size and model. All the mounting screws lined up and install was snap. The website parts description was very good and helpful. We now have ice cubes with no over flowing glacier in the ice tray.

Wasn't making ice cubes anymore
Unlike what the online video showed, my bottom freezer French door refrigerator didn't use hooks to secure the icemaker in place. Instead, it used three tabs with screws to secure it in place. I could see two of them, but not the third one. After removing two screws and realizing that the icemaker was still pretty well secured, I felt around and found the third screw (at the top, right behind the front of the icemaker). Once I got that out, the replacement went easily, as shown on the video. That third screw was a little challenging to put back, but after a few tries I got it in. The icemaker is now making ice like a champ! Good work PartSelect! And the part came quickly, as advertised.

We had water going to the Refrig but no Ice
First pulled the Ice tray out of the freezer, Pulled the cord for the power to the refrig. Removed 3-Srews with the nut driver and disconnected the Power Supply to the Ice maker. Removed it from the freezer and started to remove the Bail and install the bail in the new Ice maker. Remove the cover from the side of the old ice maker and install it on the new ice maker. Put it back in the Refrig and connected the power cord and installed the 3-screws and reinstalled the Ice Tray and 30 mins. later it started making ice. Thanks for the Youtube Video it helped a lot to take the pressure off of doing it your self.

ice maker stopped making ice and water was running into the freezer compartment
I wasn't sure about the part I needed so I called the service number, they help me decide on the correct parts for my unit. This was the easiest repair I've ever done. One hex head screw and one clip in electrical connection and we were done. It took less than 5 minutes and now it works like new, no more leaking water and plenty of ice.

Old Unit Was Leaking.
I simply followed the online instructions. Easiest repair job I have done. Once installed, which took about ten minutes, it was producing ice in less than two hours and is performing as it should. Had my frig not been a bottom freezer the installation would have taken less than five minutes. And to let everyone know, the on line instructions came in very handy during the removal process. Many thanks.

The Ice machine was leaking.
I ordered the replacement parts on line and received it a few days later. Thought I'd wait till the weekend to install the new parts. I expected it to take longer so I waited. Boy was I wrong. The hardest part was unloading the top shelf of the freezer. And it took longer to go get the nutdriver. I should have put it in immediately. Thanks for the instructional video. Works like a dream NO LEAKS. Will use your services on other parts as needed. Don from Pittsubrgh, PA.

The ice maker stopped making ice & leaked
I discovered that the water inlet was freezing, then the incoming water would run into the tray. I watched the video, then removed the ice maker. I discovered the the top two screwed just had to be loosened, not removed. I removed the bottom screw and move the ice maker to the side to disconnect the wiring harness. I found it to hard to disconnect. The pinch clips did not depress as they were supposed to, but the finally release. I did the replace without unplugging the refrigerator and it went fine. Took less than 15 minutes.

Old ice maker hanging up
I removed and inspected the old unit and found the tray coating was flaking off. I ordered the new ice maker on line, One screw and rotate unit counter clockwise about 10 degrees unlocked it from the two snap in mounts. then unplugged the wire harness and it was free. Had to put the short wire harness on new unit, reverse removal steps and it is completed and working fine.

Water was dripping into ice bin as long as icemaker was activated (bar lowered)
Based on comments I read at this web site, I first ordered the water valve; that did not fix the problem. Replacing the icemaker did fix the problem. It was easy to replace. Contrary to the instructional video, I couldn't simply tilt out the icemaker at the bottom after removing the lower screww; I had to loosed the two top screws as well. The leak was caused the coating on the icemaker being cracked and peeling.

ice maker not making ice
I watched the video which gave me confidence that I could do the repair which I did in very little time. One thing to emphasize though: When you remove the vertical wire connector from the back of the freezer compartment, remember which color wire is on the top. I needed to watch the repair video a second time to be able to make that determination. Probably the repair video should have mentioned keeping track of that connector regarding the re-connection of it because it could also connect when turned 180 degrees.

Ice Maker wouldn't make Ice
I watched a youtube video and completed the repair in less than an hour from start to finish and save myself a service charge. It was fairly easy, the only problem was that it was a bottom freezer and getting to the ice maker was harder than if it was a side by side or top freezer.
