Was cleaning fridge and when disassembling broke off piece of endcap
I removed all shelving. Used a cordless screwdriver with nut piece on end and took out nuts. Then had to CAREFULLY remove the mechanism that lets in cold air by gradation from the old end cap. Then put these parts on the new end cap. This took some thinking. Finally reset endcap and put unit back together again. Sucess and I am 61 and female.

Knob that holds pantry lid broke.
First had to remove pantry drawer, glass shelf and two drawers above shelf. Removed two nut head screws to remove right side end cap, on right side is a temperature adjustment device, that wrapped around back of refriderator. Had to rotate end cap and adjustment device like opening a door, this released the devise that holds temp adjustment devise to back of refriderator, figured out removal and replacment from end cap, also had to remove and replace drawerslide guide that attached to pantry end cap. ALSO had to clean everything, per wifes instructions. Put everything back in and repair done. Thought I would have to have a repairman out. Very gald to find this part online, Will use this site again.

Icemaker started making a snapping sound while extracting the cubes then in about a week it quit making ice cubes
I went on line looking for information on Amana Icemakers. Found a number of good sources, how to videos.Using the trouble shooting information I found and the how to videos and Parts Select part search to select the replacement icemaker needed for my Amana that was purchased in 1993.Rolled the frig out changed the leads on the water valve. hit the water dispenser and water went into the ice tray: Water valve good.Did a pre-teardown. Unplug Frig.removed ice bucket. removed three sheet metal screws making it easy to rotate ice maker and unplug the power/control cable. Old ice maker out ready to install new one. New icemaker arrives take ice bucket out, transfer on/off bail from old icemaker to new one attach power cable and in about thirty minutes icemaker is bolted in, fill tube in place and prefill ice tray to start the process. In afew hours we were making ice. pitched the first two harvests. Its working like a champ. Have plenty of ice. Very happy with the whole process.

I Bought A Slightly Scratched Stainless Fridge From Lowe's And It Was Missing The Kickplate.
This is definitely one of the easiest, most rewarding projects I've ever done! From the point of easy ordering to receipt of the part in just two days (!!!!), opening the box was probably more effort than clipping the part in place! I'm keeping partselect on my favorites list!

Leaking icemaker/leaking water dispenser
I also ordered a solenoid valve which solved the water dispenser problem. The vidio presentation on your website plus the personal experiences enabled me to easily install the icemaker which solved the leaking icemaker problem. Two small surprises, I thought the electrical wire plugged into the rear of the refrigerator and I didn't know that I would have to cut out part of the icemaker to accomodate for the refil tube. No problem on both surprises. Thanks

door and plug back in. Open door to check that the lite
works. Walla! It did. Thanks!
