Ice maker stopped working. Turned out a connection on the heating bar shorted out.
Pulled the plug on the refrig. ( This is important since the heating bar on the bottom of the ice maker could come on as soon as you plug it in and burn your hand ). Removed the ice bin to get it out of the way and then removed the 1/4" hex screw from the support bracket under the old ice maker ( don't lose it ). Pushed up on the old ice maker to dislodge it from the 2 support clips on the top of the ice maker. Squeezed both sides of the wire harness plug and pulled it out and removed the old ice maker. Removed the wire harness and level bar from the old ice maker and installed them on the new ice maker. Plugged the ice maker wire harness into the female receptacle in the freezer. Popped the ice maker in to the top support clips making sure the rubber water chute from the refrig. was in place in the round ice maker receptacle. Plugged bak in the refrig. and I was getting ice in about 2 hours. Working fine after 1 week producing plenty of ice. RussK---

Pin broke off by "I don't know". If you see him tell him he owes me some money!
Read as many of the comments on this website as I could. Practiced before the part actually came. Everything fit just according to plan. Hope "I don't know" doesn't return anytime soon.

Light did not come on (bad bulb!) on TC18KL
I have never before seen a bulb with the filament intact not light. If the bulb's filament seems intact, screw the bulb into a known working lamp and see if it lights. When screwing it back into the socket in the fridge, it takes a bit of extra effort to fully seat (until it does, it won't light!). For replacing the switch, I unplugged the unit, used a paint scraper and worked it under the switch bezel from the right side. A bit of moxie, and the switch came out. The replacement switch had a different spade contact spacing than the original. I used a pair of scissors to cut the rubber bridge between the two switch wire connectors so I could connect to the new switch. In the end, it turned out to be the bulb. NOTE: The Model TC18KL is _not_ listed! What I finally found that the number "P7803211WL" on the sticker is actually a manufacturing code. Found this out by searching, and Sears' part search came up with matches.

Tab on pantry side broke off. Missing clips on kickpate.
The clips were easy to install, and no tools were required. Took about ten minutes, with most of the time associated with looking up on your website to find out which end of the clip went on the upside of the kickplate. Would have been nice to know which was the top side of the clip. The pantry end cap was more involved but still quite easy. Two bolts removed with a socket wrench, removed both the end cap and the piece behind it to remove the mechanism which controls the coldness of the drawer. Replace all within 45 minutes.

Pantry end hinge broke
Replaced the part, I'm a former appliance service business owner but if you have a small bit of mechanical ability you can change this yourself. Be Careful though internl workings seem flimsy and you might break another part that might ruin your day.
