Handle broke
My husband took out the 2 screws from the inside of the microwave door and the ring inside the door. The bottom screw is behind the ring. Then the handle came off. Then he put the new handle in place, screwed the 2 screws back in and the ring. It was all done in 5 minutes. Very easy for him.

Replace the microwave door handle
Once I read about the microwave door handle replacement on the internet, I thought that this was a do-able job. Fellow repair people wrote clear articles on the internet and the diagrams of the microwave door were great and explained the procedure well. The cost of the door handle was about $80, and it was delivered in 5 days.

Many months agoI replaced a bulb in the light and it did not work. After swapping bulbs with the light on the other side I determined it was not the bulb.
I asked a handyman at the local fitness center about repairing it and he refered me to your website where I found an exploaded drawing showing the parts I needed and how to get to them. It was great and very easy.

The handle brook on the door
When I received the handle I was so excited. My husband was not home and I had read the instructions on the web site on how to remove the screws to replace the handle. It worked just like they said and was so easy, even for a 65 year old woman. Thanks

BURNED OUT (and broken) LIGHT BULB
With many thanks to those who posted their experience and advice replacing the bulb, I was able to remove 5 of the 6 screws holding the underside panel and remove the socket which contained the broken off base of the bulb and extract it with needle-nose pliers. I had broken off the glass portion of the bulb trying to unscrew it due to the awkward contortion of my wrist-hand-fingers trying to grip the bulb inside the tight recess the bulb is mounted in. After concluding that I needed more information, I did a web search for 'Hotpoint RVM1435' and found helpful advice at partselect.com telling me to drop the bottom panel. Good call! Thanks everyone!

Door Handle Broken
Unscrewed two screws, easily cleaned and replaced. Only difficulty was in figuring out how to remove the bottom screw. Not immediately apparent, but if you can manage to wedge out the gasket surround that circles the periphery of the door (alongside the inside), then you will have access to the phillips screw holding the handle in place. Carefully displace just enough to get access to the screw and return as you found it. Easy once you figure out how to remove the second screw.
