FILTER-AIR;SMH7175,AL-ME

This is a bottom-mounted air filter manufactured for a microwave. The microwave air filter filters the air flowing in and out of the microwave, and traps grease from the exhaust. A dirty or clogged filter can alter the taste and smell of your food or cause the appliance to be less efficient. This filter is approximately 13+ inches wide and 6 inches deep. This part is sold separately. No tools are required for this repair, the filter simply slides in and out of the underside of your microwave. Micro Switch

This is a micro switch, which is also known as a door switch for your microwave. The main reason for needing to replace this part is if you are not getting heat to your appliance. The door switch is located behind the front panel of your appliance. When the appliance door closes, this part will make contact with the door hook, which will allow the microwave to heat. Use caution when making this installation, as high-voltage capacitors found in microwaves can hold a lethal electric charge for longer periods of time, even if the appliance has been unplugged. It is recommended you wear work gloves for this repair.

I want to take this time to tell you that I have repaired a few of my appliances with very little difficulty and a much lower price than Kitchen Aid charges. One was a Micrwave vent, knobs on a stove top, little rubber knobs on the bottom of a grate of my cook top which was triple the cost from what I paid to ... read more

Why a tenant would remove and discard the grease filters without replacing them is beyond me! But, I removed the filters from the package and slid them into place. Two minutes tops. I would like to add that I ordered these on Thursday afternoon, and I had them on Saturday; awesome customer service! read more

The repair was very easy, however the bulb was not the same as the original one. The original bulb had a bright setting and a low setting, but the replacement bulb was only the low setting bulb. There was no bright and dim operation. The switch on the microwave had the duel settings. read more
