Not so easy but manageable repair
The part arrived quickly and thanks to a youtube video the gasket was replaced, the oven retains the heat. It was much better than replacing the whole oven!

Oven door gasket was damaged and leaking
I watched the repair video on YouTube and followed his instructions as much as possible. Went pretty well as I thought it would be harder. I’m pretty handy so, I was pleased.

How to replace oven doorseal gasket
For model number JGB281DER3CC
Hello Sue, thank you for your question. First remove the door and lay it on a suitable work surface, on a towel or blanket. The old gasket will simply pull off the door. There are some clips that hold it into place all around the inner door panel. The new gasket would be installed the same way. The clips on the gasket are pressed into the holes all along the inner door panel. I hope this helps!
