does the oven need a new orifice for LP convertion
For model number JGAS730EL6WW
Hi Charles, thank you for your question. The orifices need to be changed for converting the surface burners from natural gas to liquid propane. For the oven burner, the burner orifice hood needs a slight adjustment. Generally, the lower burner orifice hood is located behind the broiler. To convert to liquid propane, use a wrench to turn the burner orifice hood clockwise. Tighten the hood until it is snug. To prevent damage, do not over-tighten the hood. The pressure regulator pin also needs to be reversed for liquid propane conversion. We hope this helps!

the flame spreader through the years, developed a hole above the glow coil causing the above trapped gas between the oven pan and spreader to ignite. by replacing the flame spreader the problem is gone and is now working properly. thank you, parts select for being there when i needed the part and also being reasonably priced. mike marino
