the clothes drum stopped turning
i first watched a video on U-Tube and did exactly as they did. removed screws from the lint tray, pried up the top panel of the dryer with my putty knife, unscrewed the 2 hex screws at the top, disconnected the plug for the dryer door, and installed the new belt it really was pretty easy. the only thing I would recomend would be when installing the belt put towel or anything that would protect your arm from the botttom piece of sheet metal. I got a pretty good cut on my forearm while I was putting the belt on the bottom pully.

the dryer belt broke (worn out)
Opened up the dryer, to discover the broken belt at the bottom, read model, serial number. Went on line, found sites that gave parts lists and diagrams. Wrote down part no. Used Safari to find the part. PartsSelect was cheapest, had it in stock, and could ship fastest. Sears was more expensive and slower. The part arrived in 3 days as promised.Overall, it was excellent service.

broken drum belt
Shut off power. Opened the top, removed 2 screws one on each side of front door. Opened clip and removed switch and unplugged wire. Removed front door by lifting it up off bottom clips. Removed the drum and checked the drum support wheels, idler and motor pulley. Shop vacuumed everything to get all the lint, dirt and spider webs out. I was lucky, my idler has a spring, so I cut a small piece of wood and put it between the exhaust pipe and the idler to keep it out of the way. I replaced the drum, slipped the belt over the drum and centered it over the pulley (old belt mark on the drum). I reached under the right side and put the belt around the motor pulley and carefully removed the wood holding the idler, turned the drum by hand to check it. Set the front door back in place, plugged the wire back in, put the switch back in the clip, put the 2 screws back in, turned the drum by hand again. OK! Turned power back on and started the dryer. Total new belt installation time was under 10 minutes.

Belt broke on dryer, drum therefore wouldn't tumble
Had a hard time at first trying to figure out how to place the pulley wheel that you place the belt around, it holds it in place so to speak, was getting very frustrated came upstairs went on line to your web site and lo & behold there was a video on how to do it, I watched that video (thanks Steve) and went back down cellar and had the belt on in less than 5 mins and everything is working fine. Thanks for all your help Dan

No power to dryer. Not even inside light.
After some online research on parts select I purchased a high limit kit. Lifted up top of dryer. Took out heating element then replaced thermostat and fuse. Reinstalled heating element, closed top, pluged it in and I had power. Saved me about 400-500 dollars. I wonder how many people go and by a new dryer and all they need is a $26.00 kit???

Belt on dryer drum broke
The repair on replacing the clothes dryer belt went great. Not only did Part Select send me the correct belt at a great price .. the helpful hints that other people gave was most helpful. The only glitch was when I was pushing the tensioner wheel to get the belt around the pulley it slipped and the spring came off. The instructions/tip of taking the drum out and how to replace it came in handy when I had to get the spring back into place. The belt finally went on but there was a slight twist in it by the tensioner wheel. Again the tip I got with my e-mail helped as I manually turned the drum and was able to right the belt. Kudos to the tips I received and the confidence I could do the job myself!!!!
