Ice maker was leaking water and freezing the ice in the trray
I unplugged the refrigerator. Then removed the ice tray. Then removed the screw holding the ice maker secure. I had a little difficulty lifting the ice maker off the clips on the side of the refrigerator but was successful. Then unplugged the wire harness from the back of the refrigerator an lifted the unit out. Removed the wiring harness from the old unit and installed it on the new one. Then positioned the new unit so I could plug the harness in the refrigerator and lined up the clips to attach it on the side of the refrigerator, being careful to line up the water distribution tube. Replaced the screw to secure the ice maker and plugged the refrigerator back in and it is working very well. I am very hsappy with the repair

Ice maker was leaking water into ice tray and freezer causing large "icebergs" and ice dams to form.
Video was helpful and reading the other responses online was a big help also. Followed all of those instructions. Most difficult part was disconnecting the electrical plug to the ice maker. Need a screwdrive or other pointed object to depress plastic tab. Other than that, things went smoothly. HOWEVER, after turning water back on and plugging in fridge, I thought everthing was perfect...no leaks initially. BUT, came back a few hours later to find no ice cubes in the holding tray, "iceburg" formations and ice dams built up again thoughout the freezer. Water was leaking continuously from the ice maker. Upon further analysis, it appears the electronic mechanism keeps telling the fridge to send water to the ice maker...or, it is sending too much before shutting the water off. The tray is overflowing and that seems to be the problem. I'm back to square one, but with a new ice maker.

No water to icemaker
Pulled refrig out to gain access to back. Turned water supply valve off(water source). Removed water valve from lower left corner of refrig. Marked individual lines to valve. In this case, there were only 3 lines to remove. Removed 2 electrical connectors to water valve. Simply removed water lines and reattached to new valve. Re connect electrical connectors and mount new valve to refrig. Turn main water supply on and check. Water was now being supplied to icemaker. Complete time spent was 40 minutes. That included cleaning up behind refrig and testing to insure ice maker was now functioning. Very straight forward and easy repair. Saved myself anywhere from $75 to $125 by doing it myself.

Freezer cold Refrigerator hot
A few days before the Refrigerator got hot there was a clicking noise like a fan blade hitting ice, but after reading all the forums suggesting the problem was the Freezer Evaporator motor I ordered the Freezer Evaporator Motor Kit (PS2004031). I had a 2 day delivery so I disassembled the freezer just to get a head start and to make sure that the air feed tube from the freezer motor to the refrigerator was not blocked with ice (it was not) Tried the Freezer Evaporator motor by plugging in the Refrigerator plug into the wall, it would not work unless I turned the blade by hand. (after I removed it and took it apart and saw 3 coils burnt). This is how I took things apart. 1.Unplug the refrigerator from the wall. 2.Pull out the drawer and remove the wire baskets. 3.lift the drawer up using the handle on the drawer, 4.Slid out the sliders on both sides and push in the holding clip about half way down each side. 5.Remove the plastic brackets on both sides (4 screws in each one they are marked L and R on the back) 6. Remove the ice maker bottom screw and loosen the top front and top rear screws unplug the wire and lift up the ice maker to remove (once removed, remove the two remaining screws so that the back panel will not get caught on them) 7.Remove the plastic cover at the rear top, it has three plastic push in clamps one on each side and one in the center (you have to look real good for the ones on the ends they are hard to see)I pushed in the center one and pulled lightly and it came off, but you might need to push the two on the sides with the end of a screw and then the center one to remove. 8.Remove the thermostate cover at rear right by squeezing in on sides with your fingers. 9. Then remove the ice maker plug at rear left by pushing in the holding clips.10.Now you are ready to remove the rear cover which is concealing the motor, there are four screws (one in each corner), then remove the cover from the freezer. 11.Now you are ready to remove the motor assembly which is at the rear top, unplug the cable at the connection, then remove one of the two screws and loosen the other one the assembly will come right out. 12.Squeeze the clamp holding the motor on both sides with you fingers, to remove the motor, slide off the plastic blade on the motor and save the two rubber bumpers. 13. Install the supplied wire harness to the motor (guess it doesn't matter which of the two wires go where as no instructions were supplied with the part)then add the ground wire to the motor. 14.Reinstall the two rubber bumpers one on the motor shaft and the other on the other end of the motor which goes into the supplied clip then slide on the plastic blade onto the new motor shaft, once the motor, blade and bumpers are installed squeeze the supplied clamp with your fingers to lock the motor unit back into the assemble. 15.Connect the wire harness together and clip the ground wire next to the other ground wire and rear left. (this spot is as good as any other, again no instructions were supplied with the part)(CHECK THE MOTOR TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS) I pluged in the Refrigerator plug into the wall to check the motor operation then unpluged it quickly. 16.Now your are ready to install the rear cover panel (if you are not a small person you are going to need three hands, I'm lucky I have a small wife and she supplied the third hand) Hold the panel in the rear of the freezer and reinsert the ice maker plug through the rear you have to get it square, pull the thermostate through the opening on the right side and snap the cover in place, guide the icemaker water tube through the hole (use a pencil or screw driver to guide it)then push back the rear panel holding it in place while you put back the 4 screws one in each corner to hold it in place. 17.Reinstall the rear center top plastic cover it pushes back on if you line up the center clamp first. 18.Reinstall the ice maker (plug it in and reinstall the two screws first then ice maker will slide down on the

Ice Maker quit making ice
Watched the video on the web site and then followed the instructions. It was very easy to change. After changing it, I filled it with water from a cup to get it started making ice since the video does not address how to do this. It has been working well ever since. If you are handy with tools, you can do this.

Ice maker did not work
I put in a new ice maker because it was not in very good condition. The water valve had a very slow leak which allowed water to freeze on the way to the ice maker and plugged the line. This problem was in one of your repair articles all of which were very welcome
