ordered it and it was here within 48 hours. I was so surprised to see it so quicly. It took me just a few minutes to put it n and tighten it up and all is well now. Piece of cake!

Difficulty was in determining the right model number and part number of a switch. Noted that the left front burner came on when the switch for the left back burner was turned on. By inspection I found the left front burner switch had become faulty by actually hearing an electric arc in the switch and smelling the oder in the switch. With help from the person I called I was able to determine that the Model Number on the actual stove was wrong. It had an extra 0 between the W and F which she said was a common error in the GE model number. I then gave the switch number I found on the switch to the contact person and she was able to verify the right part number. It was relatively easy to replace the switch by taking off the back upper plate then taking off two screws that held the switch to the stove. The part came quite quickly once ordered. Sears repair wanted $75 just to diagnose then the cost of the part. I got the switch for $69.

The part arrived the very next afternoon. My husband was at work, so I decided to give it a try. After reading other repair stories, I began by shutting off the breaker to the oven. Next, removed the racks. I then used a socket to remove the two screws on back plate. I then VERY CAREFULLY and slowly pulled out the element a short distance, just to see the connections. I used a magnetic refrigerator clip to hold onto the clip so it wouldn't go back into the insulation in the oven:(someone else suggested this---good suggestion) I slid off the connectors and slid them back onto the new element. Pushed it back in and put screws back on.

This website made it so easy for me to find the part I needed! Shipped promptly with no problems or delays and the rack fit perfectly in my oven.

Our son came to visit! The element was replaced in no time!

I did not separate out the wires that went to the left and the wires that went to the right when I removed the element. When I finished the repair the two days later after getting the proper bottom element ( the folks on the phone are great, much better than just figuring it our o form plan view in pictures), I blew out the oven control chip, it was spectacular!. Subsequently I disposed of this newly made oven sized paperweight and replaced it with a new oven, which upon reflection of my arts and crafts abilities, I should have done in the first place..

The oven broiler burner went out on a Sunday afternoon while my wife was using it to cook for our family dinner. We ordered it that day and it was received, installed, and working on Tuesday afternoon...

Removed 2 screws that held the element to the back of the oven, took off the wire connections and did the same in reverse. . . . .

Went to the rear of stove took off bolts attach, slipped the old element out and inserted the new one then re-attached the bolts.

So ordered my racks and used them right away--nothing to it--it is oven racks! But your service was so prompt and description thorough enough to figure it all out and get it ordered.thanks

Repair was easy. 1. Turn off the electric to range. 2. very carefully remove the door(makes it real easy to access inside the oven.) 3. remove the 2 screws but be careful. 4. remove the two push on teminals. 5. The wires are very very short so they snapped back into the back of unit. 6. pulled out range and took off the 5 screws holding the small metal piece protecting all electrical wires...7. found the two terminal wires and push them on new terminal leads. 8. screwed the elements two screws back in, 9. replaced the small back with the 5 screws. 10. cleaned the floor behind the range and pushed it back in place.... DONE.... element works fine...tested it. however not cooking with oven today with temps outside at 104-105 ...will wait till it gets a little cooler... but all in all it was a piece of cake.....

The only tool needed was a nutdriver to remove the lamp socket. I needed my head mounted light to see what I was doing, and everything went smoothly from there. Simple job.

When I removed the unit I failed to secure the clip on wires - AND zing they went back into the insulation - now it required pulling unit out removing the back panel and placing wires thru the insulation and back into the oven - job was then very simple

The part was just like the old one and would have been an easy fix except our range suffered from a lighting hit. The clips had melted together. Called a dealer and asked about a new wiring harness. He said in those cases just cut the clip off and hard wire with wire clips,or firecrackers. We used wire nuts and taped all together and the oven works just great. Nothing is ever as easy as it should be.

Per the instructions... I just wish I had read them first... It took me 10 min longer but it all turned out right and a LOT cheaper than calling the repair man.
