HSS25IFMDWW Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

I determined that the auger was broken. But with company coming in a week I did not want to take a chance with needing additional parts. I simply ordered the whole assembly. It arrived in plenty of time and installing it was easy. Take it out of the box, rinse it out with warm soap and water, dry it out, remove the old bucket and slide the new one in its place. Absolutely no problem! I was surprised on how well the new ice dispenser worked after the swap. My old one must have been broken for some time.

When I clicked on the part to see it's description the pop up window included a youtube video on how to install the part. The video was right on the mark. Very easy installation. Phillips screwdriver was the only tool needed. Repair performed in less than 15 minutes. I have used this site before and it has been extremely helpful in saving me money by doing the repairs myself instead of paying an arm and a leg for a repairman to do it.

We had been told at some point the main control board would need replacement, due to various system issues with the refrigerator. The total repair cost would have been close to $400. The cost of the board was less than half of that cost. The instructions provided by PartSelect were very good. There was also a video of a similar model of refrigerator that outlined and showed every thing step by step. I removed the screws from the access panel in the back of the unit. unplugged the electrical plugs, removed the board. Installed the new board, reinstalled the plugs (all were idiot proof as PartSelect indicated), reinstalled the access panel and plugged the refrigerator back in. It has worked like new since install. This is an excellent website and service. I will use it again as needed with all my appliances.

Quite easy. Turn off water supply and turn off ice maker at switch inside freezer. Unscrew the old unit, separate the electrical connection, and pull it out. New unit comes with parts that do not fit my refrigerator, so visually examine the new and old units, reuse any needed parts from the old unit, such as plastic water ramp. Reconnect the electrical connector, and screw it back in. Turn water supply back on and then turn ice maker back on at switch inside freezer. Discard unused parts. Wait up to 24 hours for new ice cubes to be made.

Removed the cover installed parts. Parts were very simple cover was a major problem. Instructions stated "simply remove cover by pushing on cover and clips will release" They dont and cover broke.

Removed lower back grill panel with 5/16th nut driver, removed water valve with nut driver, removed inlet water line with adjustable wrench, removed two water oulet lines by pushing in bushings and pulling on water lines by hand. installed new water valve and attached water lines, secured new valve to back of fridge and re-attached back panel.

Used your, diagnostic chart,whatched associated video and replaced thermostat. Easy , simple and cheap!!! I am thrilled with the website and service you provide. I definately will be back for more repairs as they arise. THANK YOU !!!!!

drawer rail broke about a year ago. repaired it with super glue. broke again recently. I would have replaced a year ago if I knew how quick and easy it was to get a new part. super quick shipping was excellent. had new rail installed the day after I ordered. Thanks

Took out the old and put in the new one...Water is back on!

I screwed the replacent bracket back in on the right side of the refridgerater and slid the draw back in.It was easy and took about 10 minutes with a philips Screwdriver.I did replace the short screws with longer ones that made it much easier.By ordering the part from Part Select & putting the bracket myself I probably saved $100.If I need any additional parts I will definately order from Part Select again .The price was right and they delivered it promptly. Literally took out one screw and a wiring harness. Removed the old plastic piece off of the old ice maker and put on the new one.Installed new ice maker with the one screw and plugged the wiring back in.DONE!

Replaced the Defrost Heater and Bracket Assembly

The Hinge Cam Riser had broken (small plastic part) and needed replaced. Once I had the part it took all of 5 minutes to repair, I emptied all the contents on the door, removed the plastic cover on the top hinge, removed the 2 5/16 nuts holding the hinge then removed the door. I placed the new Hinge Cam Riser on the bottom pin then replaced the door. Works great!

Found refrig. not working properly. removed back cover to access compressor and condenser fan motor. Fan motor turning very slowly if at all. Compressor tripping thermal overload. Blew out condenser coil of all dust. Figured it was either a circuit board or cond. fan motor. Went online to Parts Direct and read through other blogs of issues with this appliance. I ordered both the fan motor and circuit board. Replaced circuit board first. started it up and fan ran great. Compressor however kept tripping overload. All that overheating stressed that start relay so I disassembled and removed relay and thermal overload. Sure enough, relay was all broken up inside. I put a 3 in 1 hard start kit on it from a local supply house and it now runs great. I will order the new o/l and relay so I can remove hard start kit.

water coils were frozen.removed line connections & placed hot wrags on coils while slowing applying air pressure to break free the ice.
