Freezer going into defrost too long & re-freezing items
I was intimidated by this repair(as I am with most repairs), because there were 2 possible problems. But being able to purchase both parts for $30 (including shipping) made it worth a try. Thanks to the instructional videos that were sent, the repair was much easier than I anticipated. For me, the hardest part was fitting my shoulders in the narrow freezer. Now the appliance works like a charm. This would have been a $150-$200 repair had I called a company to do it.

Ice maker freezing up and not dispensing cubes
I tried to follow the video...it looked easy enough to do and would have been if the trim came off! I had to go to the reviewer who said to undo the 3 springs under the keypad (found on the white part behind the touchpad). I just took an eyeglass screwdriver and pushed up...it was easy to follow the solenoid installation video from there! If I can do it...anyone can! I'm a 65year old female.

Replacement Of Ice Maker
Removed old ice maker, then screwed in new ice maker. Only thing that was a little difficult was to hold the auger motor, while trying to unplug the clipped in plug on the old ice maker. I could have used an extra pair of hands.

Freezer too cold where it caused the internal door water line to freeze.
First tried the temperature sensor. Unfortunately, that did not correct the problem. Replaced the main control board and that did the trick. Before the freezer would go down to -10 to -20 now to the normal -5 to -10 range. Both repairs were simple following the directions.

Ice auger blade was broken
I did the repair per the video;pausing the video as I went along. I hit some snags which I refer as stop points, which may result in buying the entire assembly instead. I trudged through having to back track and disassemble 2 times. I made it through to a functioning unit. I am sure I would do better in the future. Overall, a good and sucessful experience.

Ice Bucket Auger broken
Removed all parts to get to the LEFT Hand Thread nylon nut that holds the auger in place. I used a stiff putty knife inserted in the slot of the LEFT Hand Threaded nut to unscrew the nut and then when finished to tighten the nut. Also be careful when removing the plastic covers as they are held in place with plastic catches that can break. I used a thin flat blade screw driver on each side of the covers to gently pry the covers apart. Also note the position and number of the metal fingers and nylon spacers on the auger, a photo of the assembly is helpful.
