HGD4400TQ0 Magic Chef Dryer - Instructions

I followed the instructions supplied with the belt. I've changed the belt before so was familiar with the repair. The toe panel clips for my model had changed so what was supplied was different than the originals. Although they, too, came with instructions, they did not fit my appliance. They were inexpensive so I scrapped them and used some self-adhesive Velcro fasteners I had in a junk box.

I followed the instructions from the video and had no problems

I replaced the Cycling thermostat. At first I thought I may have blamed the wrong part because the ohm meter read almost the same for the old and the new part. It took less than a day for the part to come probably because it came from Jacksonville. I haven't guessed how much I saved by not calling a appliance repair.

The thermal fuse worked and fit but the cycling thermostat was not correct so I paid for a part that was wrong did not fit the model #. The other part was repaired and working in around 20 minutes

belt # 346995. part was delivered quickly. Part fit perfect, no problem. there was a video on youtube how to replace it. It took about 25 minutes from start to finish to install. works like a new one. Thanks partselect.

I watched your YouTube video about trouble shooting dryers, and found that the problem was my thermal fuse was out. My exact model of dryer was used in the video. I ordered the part and replaced it following the instructions on YouTube. Since the video was so helpful, I decided to order my part from your company

Most of the time was spent just getting behind the dryer and removing the back panel. It was also a great time to vacuum the area. If you're not working in tight quarters, this repair is really easy. The fuse is not hidden and requires no tools to install (only a wrench to remove the back panel). It started working right away & the part cost significantly less than a service call (about nine bucks + shipping).

I had to opcn up dryer, remove drum and replace worn parts.

follow the vidio. removed lint screen. removed screws securning the lint trap guide. used to disconect the two clips honding the top cover and lifted it up and secured it as not to drop down. removed two screws at top of front paned and removed it. took out drumb. took off the two rollers and remounted the drumb and belt. replaced front panel and two screws. lowered top panell and two screws. replaced lint trap. turned on to see is noise stoped and it had. done

It was fairly easy, the comments and pics on this site were quite heplful. I just took out the screws on the lint trap and popped the top by pushing in on the clips with a putty knife. zlift the top and swing it back. I cut the old belt with a utility knife since i was replacing it and lifted out the drum. the drum wheels just pop off and on so they are really easy to replace. next I took off the old rear seal with a putty knife and put the new one on. This is a messy affair if you are not careful, I ended up with adhesive all over my hands. Next loop the new belt over the drum and replace it aligning it. You kneed someone to help you hold the drum level while you replace the belt wheel and front. Run the drum around with a putty knife under the new seal to make sure it is not tucked under anywhere. Put it all back together and you are done.

Used video of PartSelect guy on YouTube to diagnose bad thermal fuse with multimeter. Removed back panel of dryer with nutdriver, removed thermal fuse, found no conductance across terminals. Ordered new part. (It arrived very quickly!) Put in new thermal fuse, replaced back panel. Shortened flexible vent tube so there would be fewer bends. Dryer works now.

I unhooked the gas line, removed the vent hose and then removed the back of the dryer.I replaced the thermal fuse and the cycling thermostat in about 5 minutes. Most of my time was spent vacuuming dust in and around the dryer. The job was easy and my 14 year old dryer works like new.

Remove the two screws holding the door and lift straight up. Remove the two screws on oppostie side. Face can now be removed by pulling straight out at the top, then lifting face up off of tabs at the bottom. The two coils are at the bottom, held in by a retaining bracket. Remove the screws that hold the bracket. Replace the coils by unplugged their wires. That's it!

The dryer belt was delivered promply, afterwards I lifted the top of the dryer and unscrewed the front panel, so it would lower. Then I watch a 5 minute video and it clearly demonstrated how to install the belt. This was my first time, so it took about 30 minutes.

It could not have been easier, thanks to the video displayed when I ordered the part. It was as easy as removing the back of the dryer, taking out the old fuse and putting in a new old. I have NO repair experience, so little I had to borrow the nutdriver from the maintance man at work. I was more then a little leary to try this repair on my own, but decided it was worth all the money I would save not having to call a repair man for my dryer. Sure glad I did I will continue to attempt more repairs on my own.
