The unit would not start.
First I turned off the breaker to the dishwasher. I then removed the bolts that held on the inner cover(note the two small bolts go on the bottom one on each side). I lifted the switch up and disconnected the wire clips from each side. I then put the new switch in place with the wires attached. Then replaced the cover and screwed it into place. Closed the door and flipped the breaker back on and turned the dish washer on and it started up. A very easy replaceable part.

Dishwasher very noisy when washing/rinsing
Dishwasher had become noisier & noisier in last year during wash & rinse cycles. After looking at various web sites, decided to first pull motor/pump & try cleaning it out. That made no difference. Also looked for anything loose that could cause vibration. No change in operation. Decided to go for replacing motor/pump & found Part Select had best price. Part came next day! I was amazed! Looked at video, then removed old unit and attached new one. Easy because it was exactly same connections. Ran dishwasher and it sounded 100% quieter - like when new! Very happy!!

Dishwasher leaked badly when running
At first, I found a metal band that was rusted and loose, replaced it but still had a leak. I went to the diagnosis section and identified another area of problem, ordered the part and got super quick delivery. With the help my wife I was able to pull apart, repair and get the unit to run and stay dry. Wife is happy because she loves the décor of our old but now dry dishwasher.

Dishwasher was making lots of noise, and specifically rattling
The repair went really smoothly, I found a video on youtube for how to remove the dishwasher, and the video on the parts page did a great job covering replacing the motor. The repair went really well. As others have noted, it ran really nosily the 1st time, and a little the 2nd. After that, it ran quieter, and stronger than it has in the 4 years we have owned the house.

I thought to myself, this is going to be easy, but I hit a couple bumps getting the end caps off. I just watched the video and it was great and helped me be sucessful. The only thing that would have helped was instructions on how to put the end caps back on! david

Broken front upper rollers
In the video, they must have been removing new parts from a new machine. 7 year old parts do not come off so easily. You may need a screw driver (I used a plain old dinner knife) to pry up the prong. (Parts went flying as they broke off for good!) I had to use a wrench to get the roller off. BUT, the new part slipped on like "greased lightening." Sooooooo, watch the video, follow their step by step instructions, but be prepared with a tool or 2 since the only reason you are doing this is because it is OLD!!!

Small trail of water leaking from bottom of door.
After examining the lower baffles, it was evident that their grooves were bent out of shape and warn. They were simple to pop out, I cleaned the area and popped in the new baffles. Unfortunately, the leak still happened. Upon further examination, the corners of the gaskets where they rubbed against the baffles also looked worn. So I ordered a replacement gasket and gasket insert and just installed them. Problem solved. The instructional videos were exceptionally clear. I'm not particularly handy. If I had not seen the videos online before ordering the parts, I would have called a repair service and spent $150+ more.

Door Spring Cable broken
Hook cable ends to arms on the bottom of the door. Then, hook one spring to the Triangle plates on the ends of the cables. Then hook one end of the second spring to the triangle plate on one of the cables. There will be significate tension when hooking the other end of the other cable. Vice grip pliers locked on the end of the other triangle plate works well to give a good grip for taking up the tension in oder to hook the last spring to the other triangle plate. Odds are that the broken cable will be obvious - the other cable will be weakened and should be replaced.
