THe chopper came off the shaft & the screen was plugged up.
The video on replacing the chopper assembly made it very easy. The only issue is that the video made it look very easy getting it into place. In reality, it took several tries to get it on the shaft & the screen into place. THE VIDEO SHOWED EXACTLY WHAT HAD TO BE DONE BUT that one step took SEVERAL attempts to get it in correctly. I finally got it in & reassembled & it works great now.

Noisy motor, worn out bearing
I followed the attached youtube video. I did not have to disconnect the wire harness. Unplugging the power cord allowed the dishwasher to be removed for repair. The bolt holding the motor in place is somewhat difficult to get to because it is behind a shield. A socket with an extension is necessary. The motor required more effort to dislodge than indicated in the video. Once the bolt is removed and the motor is rotated, wiggling and pulling was necessary to break the seal loose. Be sure to line up the arrows on the motor and collar before reinstalling.

Upper Wash Arm Came Off
With a flat blade screwdriver, pry up gently on the Upper Rack Track, pull out the end caps, and remove the rack. Pull the Feed Tube down out of the clip in the ceiling, Install the Upper Wash Arm on the Feed Tube, insert the Push-In Screw from below and push the Screw Cover down from above to snap everything together.

I also replaced the Lower Spray Arm Seal. First remove the Lower Dish Rack then remove the Lower Spray Arm by grasping the Lower Spray Arm Support/Hub and twisting the arm counter-clockwise to unscrew it, Pull the arm and hub out, now twist the Rear Feed Cap clock-wise to dislodge the Feed Tube and disconnect the cap. The seal is underneath.

dishwasher wouldn't start
It didn't make sense that the dishwasher suddenly stopped working so I "googled" and found the part online - viewed the video on repair and figured "I can do this". It was easy. Wish I had a second pair of hands to help, but other wise, easy. I'm a gal that can usually figure things out myself. It's working beautifully and cost only $30 to fix VS calling a plumber or getting a new dishwasher.

Very loud noises during cycle
The very first thing to do is watch the online video. That was the most helpful tool. Once we saw how it should be done. We removed the bottom plate and securing screws. Disconnected the water supply line, electric, waste line and pulled the unit on top of the tarp we set down. We then tuned the unit on its side, removed the old motor, greased the new gasket and re installed. The only problems we incurred were minor. The first being that there was still water in the waste line. That was a bit messy but able to deal with. The second was that the 3/8" nut driver was very difficult to get seated on the locking nut. My wife had to actually pull up on the plastic shield in order to insert the nut driver on the nut. Once that was done, it was a piece of cake. Saved ourselves over $700.00 with this repair. Thank you Parts Select.

Dishes on top wrack were not getting clean
I watched the top spinner arm in the dishwasher to see if it was turning. It was not. I figured the chopper assembly screen might be clogged, or the blade might have been stuck. I found the repair video from PartSelect on YouTube (it's also on the Chopper Assembly website) and followed the instructions. The chopper shaft was broken. I ordered the part, and thankfully it was on my doorstep the next day using standard shipping. Following the video's instructions, I had a working dishwasher again in about 15 minutes. Thanks.

Dishwasher would not reset after washing.
The door switch did not allow for the dishwasher to reset after washing. It was an easy fix, just remove the top trim panel (6 screws) pull out the switches, replace and reassemble. Just be aware that there two switches two replace.

No power to unit
The dishwasher lost all power. Once I confirmed that I had not blown a circuit breaker, I opened the dishwasher and disassembled the door panel. Fortunately, KitchenAide had provided a very detailed diagnostic chart behind the kick panel. It took me 15 minutes with a multimeter to determine that the TCO had blown. Once it arrived, it took 15 minutes to replace. All is well now.

the catch on the silverware basket would not stay closed
I ordered a utensil basket for my Whirlpool dishwasher and it fit perfectly. Your sales person who I contacted via telephone helped me even though I had no serial number information; she went through various pictures, emailing them to me and it only took a few minutes and up came the correct basket. Will do business with you again.
