The ice tray had warped and dumped water, which then froze down through the ice bucket and below.
To replace the warped tray, I found the service manual (pg. 124 below) which took some interpreting. Removed the lever. Then removed the assembly by two screws that are forward to the unit and go upwards. The insulation, sensor, and sensor cover are simply pulled down and off and the unit separated to removed the tray, and then insert the new tray. Proceed in reverse. Takes only a few minutes.

light was not going on sometimes, or needed wiggling to work
purchased a new switch. The old switch just needed to be lightly pried out with a screw driver, then it was simple to unplug the old, and plug in the new. Voila! Light !
Ice tray was bent and spilling water onto ice making it freeze
I took the ice out with one screw and took out the old tray the new one slipped right in and I hooked up the little heat strip with one snap works perfect cost $10 I was told by appliance repair tech that I needed to replace the ice maker for $450 saved $440 dollars replacing the bent or warped ice tray
My ice maker overflowed water and made a mess in the freezer
The part was extremely easy to replace. The unit came out with one screw, and I had to unplug the wire connection. After removing I noticed the ice tray was cracked - that's what caused the problem. The new unit went in easily with 1 plug in connection and 1 screw. I was done in less than 10 minutes.
Water and Ice dispensing just stopped working. Also Ice trap was broken.
Water valve replacement at back bottom right. Removed, water supply line and old valve with 1 screw and removed clips from hoses. Replaced with new valve and re-clipped hoses. Easy fix! Cleaned coils and back with blower and vacuum cleaner while I was in there too. I also had leak in water supply line, replaced. Ice trap door replacement was a little more challenging. Hard to get off the ice dispenser funnel (Part# 278D). Has 4 lock clips on it and 1 broke when I took it off. This part# 278D is not available from part select?? Tricky to replace the trap door itself. Have to make sure the door valve sits in solenoid correctly. Installed wrong the first time and door would not open/close. Had to go in and reset orrectly. Works like a charm now. Still need part# 278D!!
