Turntable Motor

This turntable motor is used in microwaves. This is what rotates the glass tray so that your food is heatied evenly. The specs for this synchronous motor are 120 Volts, 60Hz, 3rpm, and 2.1 Watts. It features two 3/16-inch male spade terminals, which is what attaches to the internal wiring of your appliance. The motor also includes mounting holes; there are two mount holes on either side of the part. This replacement motor is approximately two inches in diameter, and it is sold individually. Door Latch Spring

The microwave door latch spring creates tension, and engages the door latch when the door is closed. This spring is made completely of metal, and is approximately 1 inch long. If your microwave door will not open or close properly, the microwave will not start. You may need to remove the control panel to gain better access to where the spring attaches, so make sure the power is disconnected from the microwave. This part is sold individually. NOTE: Remember to discharge the capacitor for your microwave before beginning this repair. The capacitor can hold a potentially lethal charge even when the power has been disconnected from the microwave itself.

I first removed the top plate above the microwave door (3 screws), then I removed the plate containing the buttons and clock. The microwave has 3 relay switches and they are in a little holder. The holder was too difficult to remove so I just removed the bottom switch and replaced. The microwave started right up. read more

Removed the 3 screws to drop the lower panel and, removeed the turn table plate and ring. Then removed the 2 screws holding the motor, the 2 wires attached to the motor and removed the old motor.Replaced the new motor in the reverse order. DO NOT FORGET TO UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE FIRST. read more

was told buy a repair person to check the door micro switches as it was a common problem. removed the top plastic air grill to get access to the screw that holds in place the control cover.
