I have an old washer I am trying to figure out if I am missing a part. Appears to need a rod through the base to attach the motor assembly t to the base of the washer but no rod present. There are holes there for a rod. Wondering if this “shipping rod” Is what goes there, and is it only used when machine is being relocated??

Hello Bonnie, thank you for contacting us. Yes, the part you are looking for is the shipping bar, part number PS11763323. It is located near the bottom. Its purpose is to stabilize the tub and drive platform while in transit. This rod should remain in the washer until just before installation. The shipping rod should be used any time the washer is going to be moved up or down stairs or to a different location. We hope this information is useful!
