The splash guard for the disposer was deteriorating and kept falling into the disposer and getting chewed up making it even less reliable. arched for the model number on part select and received veery quickly. I just popped it in (less than a minute) and now everything is wonderful. Don't buy a new disposer (my wife wanted me to) buy the replacement part that is giving you trouble at PartSelect!

Lost or misplaced splash guard
What a snap just push it in and all is OK. Tried the generic one from Lowes didn,t work. This was great and cheap including shiping charge.
