The dryer wasn"t heating put it was spinning.
I removed the 9 nut screws from the back of my dryer with a nutdriver. It took less than 5 minutes. Then I removed the thermal fuse which took less than a minute;one screw and 2 prongs holding it in. Then I put the thermal fuse in and secured the back of the dryer by installing the 9 screw back in. Total time less than 10 minutes.

low heat taking longer and longer to dry clothes
I was just about to go buy a new dryer, but decided to see if I could repair myself. I came across Part Select and was easily directed to the most common parts needing replacement. I chose the part 41% of the time needing replacement, ordered it, and did the repair.
Video made it very easy to find part on dryer.

Part of the dryer door latch fell out and was lost. Needed to replace it.
When I ordered the part, I viewed the installation video. That was a key step for me. It told me how to identify the correct part (there are multiple latch pieces in the repair kit, and one of them matches the type of door for the dryer), and how to disassemble the door to get the part installed. When the part came and I installed it, it turned out that I could snap the part in by hand, with no tools. It took about 5 seconds to try it, and it worked.

The dryer door kept popping open while in use.
I googled the problem, then came across a site where somebody had experienced the same problem, and they changed the door catches to resolve it. I did a search for Whirlpool parts and found "partselect.com". I followed the instructions on the website and located the parts very easily and also discovered that there was a video on how to make this repair. We were tolerating this problem for quite some time and now the problem is resolved, thank you...

heat would start but then stop and not dry load
tok off the back cover and the fuse is right there in plain site, took me like 2 minutes to change it out. This did not fix the prob though so I had to get the 2 small cyl. that fit on top of the gas valve. It took longer to take the screws out than it did to change the parts. works fine now and boy am I happy cause my daughter had to move back in to my house with a 4 month old temp while she looks for housing and the clothes pile up quick! :) Thanks for your quick delivery, you can't beat 1 day delivery.

Dryer would not heat, drying cycle never stopped
Our dryer suddenly stopped heating up, and subsequently would not dry any clothes! The timer would run down to 0, but the dryer would continue to tumble until we manually stopped it. After finding the partselect.com site and checking the 'Parts that Fix' page for our dryer model, I followed the excellent video walkthrough, removed and tested the Thermal Fuse which, sure enough, was bad. I ordered a new fuse and it was delivered two days later (standard shipping). Placing the new Thermal Fuse was simple and I had the dryer running again very quickly, and while it would now stop at the end of the cycle, it was not fully heating up and drying still. I ordered the Cycling Thermostat (next most likely cause, according to the site) and again two days later had it in hand, replaced, and the dryer works perfectly! In the end, our problem was both a bad Thermal Fuse and faulty Cycling Thermostat. The PartSelect site was a perfect tool to not only find the part, but recommend which was most likely to solve the problem, show diagrams of the part locations, and give an excellent video walkthrough of replacing the parts. I highly recommend this site!

Dryer did not heat
Read the instructions followed by the video offered on Part Select. As the video indicated I began by opening the back of the dryer. Unfortunately because the video only offered direction using a older model I found that it was necessary to go through the front to get access to the thermal fuse and heater element.Once I had gained acess through the front (easy) everything went exactly as the video indicated. Although I replaced both the thermal fuse and the heater element the actual problem turned out to be the heater element. Part Select was a great resource in this repair and I am sure saved me considerable money not having to have appliance repair person come to my home. Very Pleased.

No Heat
I watched your online repair video, which was excellent. As I started the repair, it was exactly as described in the video....very easy. The only thing I did differently was clean out the mechanical compartment of the dryer with a shop vac.....simply because it was full of lint. There is nothing I won't try to fix; but this job can be done by anyone. Do it yourself; don't spend the money to have someone else do it.

dryer was getting power but would not start. No lights at all on the control board.
Removed toe cover on the front of dryer. Repair video shows removal on back panel but on this model the thermal fuse is in the front. Removed lint screen and cover over lint collection area. Replaced thermal fuse which sits just behind that cover. Involves only 1 screw and 2 wires. Very easy replacement.
