Replaced floating seal. Un plugged and Pulled washer out from the counter and laid on its left side. Pull pump out of seal by hand. Straight screwdriver to lever seal out of fitting. Clean hole and wipe seal then push into hole. Reinsert pump reverse install. To make it easier I previously extended the water supply hose to nearly 8 feet so did not have to disconnect it.
damage to gasket (had a slit in the area of the utensii baskets. causing lower right corner of gasket to come out. caused leakage to floor from the lower right corner of door...
As I am 77 yrs of age I was leary of diy but thanks to the reps of "Parts Select" I actually was able to put in the new gasket myself. It did take some time and lots of patience as it had to be seated correctly..I also had to make sure the new gasket was in the groove as it is supposed to be.
There was no repair -- it was a simple snap-in replacement of lower spray arm assembly. The shaft holding the lower spray arm in place is plastic so of course it broke when a utensil blocked the arm from spinning.
I appreciate the Parts Select company for enabling me to purchase a replacement part though that allows me to keep my old dishwasher working.
Dishwasher would not fill with water and would shut off
I found it online! There were step by step instructions that were easy to understand. I have never had to do anything like this in my life, only recently had to start doing everything around the house myself due to husband's illness. The repairman came out, charged me $100 to determine what the dishwasher needed & left me with the part number. He was going to charge me $389 to install the part and they were over charging for the part. The repairman suggested I just get a new dishwasher. I ordered the part from the website at 1/2 the price that the other place charges and found it on line. With the step by step instructions and the online page, I successfully installed it MYSELF. Saved me a ton of $$. I LOVE the website Thank You!!!!
Replaced all 3 spray arms in less than 10 minutes. The top one came in two pieces, the mounting bracket and the arm.Snap the bracket on the dishwasher first , then attach the arm to the bracket.
The Mid Spray Arm Assembly was not spinning due to a dish that was in placed the dishwasher that was too high and hitting the arm. When it spun until it broke the center shaft. Replacement was easy. After removing power I pulled the upper tray out and removed the Conduit Mid Tiered Assembly by unsnapping it from the tray. I twisted off the broken spindle of the damaged arm assembly from the Conduit Mid Tiered Assembly and inserted the new arm and gently pushed it until it snapped into the Mid Tiered Assembly. Reinstalled the assembled parts by snapping into the tray making sure it was centered.
Spray arm had become unattached and burned by the heat element
It was a simple as: attach and done! There is a ring on the part that tightens clockwise to the nipple that sprays out the water that it rests on. Twist clockwise and you are done! It is a mystery how it was unattached to begin with but not a problem in the end, it was easy to fix!
