Dryer won't turn on anymore, i think i've narrowed it down to 2 possible culprits: The timer or the high limit thermostat. After my wife reported that it wasn't starting, i investigated to confirm, after it indeed didn't turn on right away, i started to move the timer to the other settings (as opposed to the minute timer) and it started working fine, i opened the door to shut it off. Started it again with no issues, moved the dial to the other alt setting and it started again, moved the dial to the regular timer setting and it indeed started running too, while it was running, i moved the timer dial while inside the minute timer zone slightly and it immediately shut off. I checked for heat and the dryer did produce heat.I kept moving the dials to see if i could start it again and as of right now haven't been able to start it again. i've tested the starter switch, thermal limiter, & the door switch for continuity; all seemed to be working as intended. i hear no suspicious electrical/buzzing noise coming from the motor etc. in fact, i don't hear any subtle ticking coming from the timer either, i hear it from the washer's timer but not from the dryer's (when powered(does the dryer timer supposedly progress and make a tiny ticking noise when connected to the outlet? i'm not 100% certain whether it did...)) i haven't been able to access the high limiter thermostat as it's awkward to test but from my understanding that should only affect the heat situation, right? are there any other parts that i should be testing as-well, i don't have much knowledge of the timer's terminal wiring but was able to get good positive & negative continuity from the wall to the timer with toggling/turning the dial on & off. thanks in advance
