Flat Glow Bar Igniter

This flat glow bar igniter is designed for gas ovens. The function of the part is to ignite the gas to light the oven burner. If your gas igniter does not glow, or if it glows but will not light, you may need to replace this part. The flat glow bar igniter is in the back of your gas oven. You will need to remove the access panel on the back of your oven to disconnect the igniter. Be sure that the gas source to the oven is shut off before you begin this repair. This part is sold individually.

I was replacing a range oven hood, so I pulled the oven away from the wall but left it plugged in. I removed the old oven hood, which had an exhaust pipe that was still mounted through the cupboard.
