FEF336FMC Frigidaire Range - Instructions

I read some other's repairs from this site with similiar symptoms. Take off the back takes a couple of minutes. Turn off power at the breaker of course the range is 220 volts. Remove the 4 screws holding the clock timer. Carefully remove the clock front as not to damage it. It has a flexible glue that holds it. You may need to take a knife to get it started. Line it up and stick it on the new clock timer, there will be plenty of glue left to hold it. Remove wires one at a time and place them on the new board as you go until you have all leads changed to the new board. Put the new timer in place and insert the 4 screws that hold it.Turn it on and the clock should be flashing. Reset the clock and you should be ready to go! I turned on the oven and it worked! I saved myself a about $250 by doing it myself. $85 for a service call and whatever they would decided to mark up for the clock timer. 20 minutes start to finish. It really was an easy fix!

Replaced the control I got from you , even though it was a little different the lugs matched up and works great.

My bake element stopped working and found part of it burned. So I ordered a new one and received it in a week. It took about 2 min. to remove the old and install the new one and I'm back baking.

unplugged stove;used nut driver to unscrew 2 screws and remove broken element;plugged in new element;used nut driver to replace screws. done. i used a flashlight to see better in oven. easy

I am a total non repairman. but with the video on how to I did'nt even brake the first part. ( I ordered 2 just in case)Will use you ror every part!

Initially we realized there was a problem while cooking with the large eyes and we began hearing an electrical short behind the control switch. I unplugged the power from the oven/cooktop and removed the back panel where I could visually see soot on the switches where it was shorted. Careful while choosing your part from the diagram on Partselect.com. For the model FEF336ECJ, atleast for my oven, the eye switches were reversed and I ordered the small eye's switches! Luckily they have an outstanding customer support and immediately mailed out the new parts and a label to send the wrong parts back. Changing the parts out was very simple. Pull the oven out and UNPLUG IT from any electrical outlet. Remove the back panel. Double check from the label on the front of the control panel that you are working with the correct switch, and before removing the current switch, remove the wires one by one and place them on the new part to make sure you don't misplace these wires. Once the wires are connected to the new part, pull the plastic knob off of the old switch to reveal the screws on front of the panel. Place the new switch where the old one came from and fasten the screws back in place. Replace the knob, replace the back panel(for safety) and test the new switch before you push the oven back into place. If you can turn a screw driver, move the oven, and unplug the power, this easy do it yourself repair will save you possibly hundreds by not calling a repair/handyman who would absolutely love you to pay out the nose for such an easy task.

turned off the breaker that powered the stove removed 2 screws, removed old element from 2 sleeve like parts, replaced with the new element. replaced 2 screws and done took less than 10 mins to replace!! Thanks PartSelect!!!

did just what was in the video.could not be more simple.

Replacement element was a snap to remove & replace. I used a small bolt driver with the appropiate socket. No issues.

Looked up the appliance and the suspect part.(clock/timer). It described the part and what problem it would fix.(no power to oven) Part shipped very fast and installation was quick and easy!!! They even had a installation video!! You can`t get any better than that!!!

Watched the video, turned off breaker, used a 1/4 in nut driver,had it changed in 5 minutes. Easy, the video explains it all!!

It was a piece of cake!!!!

I looked at video and followed the instructions from the man in the video. I pulled out range and then unplugged range from electrical outlet. I removed screws from back and took back off. I then took the two screws out from front of switch. I pulled switch out and then removed one of the wires off and placed it in the same place on the new switch. I did same on the other two wires. I then put switch back in place and tighten the two screws on front. I replaced the back on the range. I plugged range back into the receptacle, pushed range back in place. I put control knob on and then turned it on. The eye worked fine. Very easy!

Quit after getting shocked. New part had different configuration. Hard to see marking for pull and plug from old switch to new switch. New switch had different configuration. After all that and making sure switch worked, got shocked as stove was pushed back to wall. Some other issues with wiring has a shorting out problem. Maybe time to call a pro or get rid of the stove and get the gas stove we have been longing for. Be sure to match points on pulling and plugging as the configuration may be different.

pulled out the range and unplugged the range from the outlet! removed the oven racks. unscrewed the heating element and pulled out the wire connections a bit so i could grasp the connectors better and so they would not go back into the holes. getting the bad element off the connectors was the most difficult part of the process - this is what took the longest for me. I used pliers to grab the heating element connector and wiggle until it came loose from the connectors. once off, it was pretty simple to re-connect the replacement element and tuck everything back and screw the element back onto the oven wall. WA-LA!! back in the baking business - kids and mom are happy again! temp needs calibrating, but should be able to figure that out....thanks much!
