2 questions 1) in the morning there is wire burring smell from the fridge area? Could it be the start relay? 2) from time to time the water dispenser starts going crazy! Flashing light and spewing water. I unplug the fridge to reset, it will work for few day sand then start again! Should i start the circuit board located at the ice and water dispenser?
For model number EW23CS70IS3
Hello Ali, thank you for your question. Yes, that wire burning smell is probably the start relay which is built into the inverter board for the compressor. That part is PartSelect Number PS977089. We would recommend inspecting the inverter board for burns or scorch marks on the wires. If the dispenser lights are flashing and the water comes out of the dispenser area without being prompted the dispenser board would be the first part we would recommend replacing. The board is Part #: PS3408658. I hope this helps.

Even though my wife said that our icemaker broke, there was actually nothing wrong with it. It was the valve that let water flow in during the 'harvest' cycle. A real easy way to test the icemaker without voltage and current measurements, is to fill the tray by hand with a little cup of water; wait till the water freezes and see if t
