Capacitor

This capacitor is also known as a run capacitor, and it is most often used in refrigerators and freezers. This part provides the voltage or energy current required to start the compressor and keep it running. It allows the compressor in your appliance to easily cycle on and off. Doing so enables the appliance to effortlessly maintain its internal temperature. If the capacitor is faulty your refrigerator or freezer might be too warm, or you may notice the compressor will hum, but it will not run. When replacing your capacitor, you should check the old one for any signs of damage, overheating, or arcing, as that may suggest there is a bigger problem with your appliance.

Hinge Pin Bushing

This bushing is used with a 1/4-inch pin. This part is found in refrigerators (and sometimes freezers). The bushing provides a bearing surface for the hinge pin that rotates. Every time you are opening and closing your fridge, this part is acting as a bearing and makes it so that the door is swinging back and forth with ease. This bushing tends to wear down over time and will need to be replaced. You will notice that this part needs to be replaced if your door is off-kilter and not aligned properly. This part is sold separately. This is a genuine part sourced from the manufacturer directly.

Took out the 2 screws that held the old handle in place. I then lined up the holes on the new handle and put the same screws back in being careful to put the shorter one in the bottom hole. When I had tightened the screws I put on the face plate to cover the screw heads and now my frezzer looks like new again!!!!! read more
