Broil Element (16" long x 8.5" wide)

This broil element, also known as an electric oven broil element, is used in ovens. Located on the roof of your oven, the element provides and supplies the heat needed for the broil function. It is 8 1/2 inches wide and 16 inches long with 1 3/8 inch deep terminals. The tool needed for this installation is a screwdriver. As a safety precaution, make sure to unplug the oven or range from the power source before installing this part. Remember to wear gloves to protect your hands. Oven seals got dried and cracked

The top seal was too long (my fault, ordered wrong length seal) so I had to cut it and high-temp epoxy the metal hook into the end. Overall pretty easy fix. read more

I disconnected the oven power, then removed the two screws that hold the element in place, then I pulled the old element out, and connected the new element to the two wires, and reinstalled the two screws. My husband simply unscrewed the screws on each side and put on the new bake element. Just need to remember to UNPLUG the stove as he had a few sparks at first . . . other than that, it was simple. Thanks!!! read more
