Wow, could not have been easier. The suggested repair stated that the water inlet valve was the problem 93% of the time. And, it was spot on. It was the exact same replacement part. And, once installed, it worked like a charm. I have bookmarked this website, and will use it for all future appliance repair. I simply could not be more pleased. It was a breeze. Thanks,

Removed the existing inner door by removing screws along the edge of the inside door. Had trouble removing the door latch but after lifting it on one side of the plastic door fitting, it eventually lifted out. I also had some trouble getting the spring loaded soap door back into the replacement inner door. After playing with it for awhile I realized that the soap door should be in the open position when putting the spring latch back on. The soap door won't close until you get the entire inner door mounted and back on. I also want to note the the inside vent in the upper part of the inner door needs to be removed from the old inner door and installed in the new one. I missed that at first and it allowed condensation to get inside the door which caused the dishwashers alarm to go off during the dry cycle. One last note that I initially decided not to replace the existing sound proofing material in the new door based on advice from a website that stated that I wouldn't notice the sound difference. That was definitely untrue. I had to disassemble the door, replace the sound proofing and then it sounded fine. Overall it was a little difficult to figure out but considering how inexpensive the replacement door was compared with a having a service repairman come out, it was worth the trouble.

disconnected water, electric, drain line, pulled unit out, replaced pump and reinstalled. Working fine now.

Followed the easy to follow instructions. Disconnected water, power, drain hose.. Pulled out unit. Tilted to back, used nut driver to disconnect motor brace, loosened hose clamps. Pulled pump/motor off. Unscrewed off defective part. Cleaned area of debris to reassemble the part ordered. Reconnect everything, reinstalled dishwasher. Turned on unit. No leaks! Dishwasher works great.

I removed the old corner tub baffle's and replaced them with the new one's and that took care of the problem. I used a putty knife to remove the old one's and put some new adhesive on and put the new ones in place and let them set up for two days to let them really set up and they work really good no leaks.

Repair was executed in stages. Initial checks of inside of DW, the sink air gap,checking DW discharge hose lines, from DW to 7/8"hose to disposer. Cleared hose lines of food debris & slime, as needed. Cleaned DW Filter Gasket Assbly., best possible. Found to be deteriorated. (Put on order list) Unscrewed DW wash/spin arm at base, removed 2 pushnut fasteners (carefully), located at front of Filter Gasket. Removed Food strainer housing on top of Filter Gasket, before removing Main Filter gasket assbly. Cleaned debris in sump filter. Removed fine screen filter housing at back of DW and support bracket for heater tube. Removed Piston & Nut Assembly, ( sealdeteriorated! & put on order list). Ordered parts from Parts Select. // Returned to clients home and installed new components, as instructed. Activated and cycled wash. DW discharged completely. Operation checked OK. DW system was quite soiled with food debris and slime. Brittle plastic pieces from old Filter Gasket Assbly were caught up in discharge line and had to be cleared out. Piston assbly cone seal was all but gone. It was the main reason for the standing water in DW. Job took over an 1 hour, due to condition of DW unit drainage system. Works great now and customer is estatic.

Remove front shields on bottom of dishwasher. Shut off dishwasher and electricity. Unplug electric connection. Unscrew brace holder screws on front. Remove clamped on hose at back of valve. Unscrew valve from copper water pipe. Screw on new valve to copper water pipe. Put on clamped hose. Screw on bracket. Plug in electric connection.

We removed old gasket, cleaned surfaces and installed new gasket.

Turn off the power at the breaker panel. Turn off the water supply that goes to the dishwasher. Remove the front lower panel to gain access to disconnect the water line and electric. Now remove the two screws that connect the dishwasher to the countertop. You should be free to slide the dishwasher from under the countertop far enough to remove the drain hose. Slide the dishwasher out all the way and lay on the floor door down. Loosen the two clamps that hold the motor up. Remove the motor bracket, (should only be one screw. Disconnect the wires from the motor. Now just pull the motor down and out. Repeat the process to install the new motor. I took several pictures before I started removing anything. The instruction that comes with the kit is very good. Their will be parts in the kit that will not be used. Not to worry!

Just twist your old Lower Spray Arm counter-clockwise and screw new part on clockwise. Wish I had known this before we broke the tab trying to remove washer arm to replace bottom filter. Super simple!

My dishwasher started acting up with water in the bottom after running. Also noticed the dishes were not really clean. The dishwasher is about 8yrs old. After googling, 65% of the time the problem is the Piston & Nut assembly. Ordered the part at Parts Select along with the filter gasket asssembly since it was starting to fall apart and really needed to be replaced. Parts arrived super quick in two days regular shipping! On a scale of 1-10 (1 being easy - 10 being hard) this was about a 0-1. Removed the two screws on the plastic back screen where the Piston & Nut assembly is located inside. Unscrewed the piston & nut assembly by hand. After removal you could see it was pretty worn out! Re-installed the new part & put back the screen. That simple! The filter gasket was slightly more difficult because of removing the bottom spray arm which is hooked onto the water inlet tube with pinch tabs. You stick a screwdriver into the tab and gently move the tab outwards until the arm pops off with upward pulling. Remove the four screws on the filter gasket assembly in the bottom and replace. Dishwasher works and looks like new inside! Total cost $ 45.00 and fifteen minutes of EASY work! Basically...if you know which way to turn a screwdriver ...YOU CAN DO IT!
