Over the last several years we have had several appliance repairmen try to fix the icemaker. One replaced the entire icemaker. We bought a booster pump for the water. After spending about $1,000 over the past few years trying to fix the problem, a plumber doing routine plumbing work looked at it, and said it might be the control board. I found instructions online how to test the control boards. I ran the test, and they failed. I ordered the parts from PartSelect, followed their easy instructions, and tested the new units. They passed with flying colors. We now actually have an automatic icemaker for the first time in years.

Removed old water filter by simply twisting the the cap that houses it at the bottom of the refrigerator and replaced with new water filter. No fuss, no muss! Very impressed. Also, I was quite pleased to have received the water filter that was designed specifically for the whirlpool model that I own. I expected to receive some generic-type model based upon the reasonable price that I paid. Kudos to partselect!

We ordered the icemaker part and a water filter. The water filter slipped into the slot and was very easy to replace per instructions on the box. We put the video on how to replace the icemaker on the computer next to the refrigerator and followed it precisely pausing it between steps. After replacing the icemaker we thought it did not work but it took a few hours before it started making ice again. After waiting overnight we awoke to new ice in the bucket. It went smoothly and was a breeze to fix.

Popped out the old filter from the refrigerator bottom. Removed new filter from the box and pulled off the end caps. Put the end cap on the new filter, aligned the filter( it will only go in one way) with alignment slides and pushed the filter in until I heard it (click) into place. Pushed in the water dispenser tab for a few seconds, but nothing happened. So I waited until the next day and pushed the dispenser in and water flowed out. Repeated this process until the water ran clear. Turned the ice maker back on and a few hours later ice was popping out. Wife's happy, I'm a hero!

Old water filter I twist to my left facing the refrigerator and pull out. I then remove knob from old water filter and put on new water filter. I install new water filter into slot and twist it to my right facing the refrigerator. I listen for the water surge once I heard the sound I knew the install was complete. I then place a glass under the water dispenser to filter the water to make it was clear. Done with install. Crisper Drawer with Humidity Control was very easy to install. I just slid out the broken one and slid in the new one. Done with install.

Do not try to pull out the water filter by the cap. There is a button that releases the filter so you will not have to replace the cap. The cap twists onto the filter. When replacing the filter, the cap goes onto the new one.
