Pulled off front. Detached wires without getting electrocuted. Marked them first so I'd know where they go. Pushed up the thing with wires so I could see the flap door. It had a heat thing in the flap which my replacement part didn't have, so I had to pull it out of the broken flap and insert in the new flap. Snapped flap door in place. Attached black thing loop to white thing. DIdn't use the spring or the white thing. Reattached wires and put on front piece. Everything now works. No more frost in the freezer!!!

Took two screwdrivers and inserted bottom of bezel pryed up and out gently. Removed (4) screws and unpluged (3) electronic plugs removing the circuit board. After you remove bezel & circuit board you have a chance to see what you are doing and get to the problem area with more ease. Remove old parts and reverse it putting the new parts. Process is very simple just pay attention to the order everything was removed. On my frig one of the plastic ears that hold the pin which holds the spring and door was broke. The piece I needed was no longer avaliable. I had to use a piece of the plastic from the old parts I removed, drilled a hole the size of the pin in it and glued it to the broken off ear. Put everything back together and I am pleased to say that everything works fine! So you might need to go a little MacGyver on it. All in all very simple fix.

Followed the lead of David from Chesterfield in prying off out cover, unplugging it and setting it aside. Unscrewed and pulled out next assemply, and taped it above work area to avoid having to unplug. The pried pulled out pin to right holding ice door hinge to remove old unit. (Notice which way the spring faces before removing!) Unplugged it. Ended up taking off push-dispenser handle (one screw on right) to get easier access. Then reinserted long pin being careful to have spring with two long tongs pointing down. Then put everything back together. USE ALL PARTS!

The hardest part was figuring out how to get the front panel escutcheon panel off. With the putty knife under the bottom flange, you need to push down with some effort on the part of the flange where the drip pan slides in and twist the putty knife to disengage the locking tab. Once the panel is off, the rest of the job is easy with the aid of your video. Everything works like new...thanks.

Do not try to pull out the water filter by the cap. There is a button that releases the filter so you will not have to replace the cap. The cap twists onto the filter. When replacing the filter, the cap goes onto the new one.
