Not making ice
Simple, I had a repair man come over and diagnose the problem. After confirming, I ordered the part and replaced it. Need to make sure you get the ice build up out of the fitting tnat goes from the back of the fridge connection at the top and the filler tube inside the unit, mine was iced over. Repair man wanted to charge me $250.00... with his service call and buying the part, it cost $120

Broken door closure bearing
I first removed the hinge cover at the top of the door. This allows the door to be lifted off of the bottom hinge. After removing the remnants of the broken part, I slipped the new door closure bearing in place. I reinstalled the door by sliding the door over the lower and upper hinges. Be careful to note that an additional part "door closure" may be necessary as in my case this was all one unit in the broken one.

The new motor mount screw holes were not threaded.
I had to tap the screw holes with a 8/32 tap so that the screws would not bind.

Broken water dispenser
I can't believe how easy it was to repair the broken part on the fridge. It was broken for two month, until I decided to look into ordering the part, that led into checking out to see if I could do it myself. I didn't ask my husband for help (well I hardly do). I'm a handy woman.

Thanks for the great service. I had the part in two days, and installed it immediate.

the nylon bearing hinge was broken on the left door.
Removed cover from top bracket with phillips sd. removed bracket with socket wrench; lifted door from hinge; removed remnants of old hinge from recess, this took a while because it had broken inside, eventually I used needle nose pliers to break it up and pull it out in three parts; installed new bearing hinge; reset door, and installed bracket and cover.

Easy!

My son first took it apart and tried gluing the piece back together. It did not hold, so we ordered the new part. After we got it, he put it all back together with the new part and it worked great! My son is 19, by the way.

Water actuator flap snapped
Pretty much followed the instructions from the previous Do-It -Yourselfers. It was easier than I thought it would be. I have some technical background, but it wasn't required. The toughest part was reconnecting the water hose to the outlet in the frame housing. I used a thin Allen wrench to reach up through the housing from the outside to guide the water hose back into place. Once it is aligned, it slips back into place. There is nothing but the tension of the fit to hold it in place. If my two yearr old wasn't "helping" me, I would have finished in 10 minutes. Thank You Part Select!
