We watched the very excellent video on this web site for replacing the Accumulator Filter and followed the instructions it provided. It's possible that we could have just cleaned our existing accumulator filter once we understood what it was and how to get to it, but the results of replacing it have been dramatic. It's like a new dishwasher.

I just followed another persons directions that was in the system already. He had a great idea by taking the new switches out of the new latch and replacing them with the old ones from the bad latch. The old switches are still good and it made for a simple repair. This way you didn't have to disconnect the wire from the switches and now you have two new switches on hand. The old switch had a burnt spot on the connector.

I followed the video instructions except I had no idea what tools he was using because he talked so fast, but I figured it out myself. I could not get the guard off but I worked around it. Then I took off the discharge piece. The impeller needed to come off and I unscrewed it but the impeller was stuck tight to the diswasher. It did not slide off like in the video. I ended up having to break up the impeller with pliers until it fell apart enough to take off. That was the only semi difficult part. I replaced impeller. The new screw I ordered did not fit on my machine??? So I used the old one again. I reassembled all and the dishwasher now works good. Still makes a little noise which could be normal. Nothing like it was making.

Circuit breaker to washer off. Removed 11 torx screws holding the inside of the inner door plate, two of which held the handle in place. Handle had a switch attached on either side which were connected by spade connectors to a wire bundle. I could not remove the connector spades so I removed the switches from the new handle and installed the old switches in their place. The fit was not perfect since the new switches were thinner than the old ones, but they slid on the mounting poles ok. The new handle had a screw hole partially broken off when I received it, but I took a chance that the inner cover would still hold it in place. Installed the inner cover (torx screws). Washer works perfectly.

After installing a new filter, :( I tried this. I wish I would have done this first since it's way cheaper and easier!!! If your dishwasher slowly starts to decline in its ability to clean the dishes, it's probably this problem.

The old silverware basket started cracking and coming apart after 5 years or so.

I opened the door of the dishwasher, pulled out the old silverware basket, and then placed the new silverware basket where the old one was. The whole time, I was imagining how much it would be to call up and appliance repair guy and have him do this.

Door would not close properly.Had to pry it open once it was closed

First of all and most importantly, shut off the power! Thenremove the bolts from the perimeter of the door with an allyn wrench. Next unplug the 2 switches from the contacts. I needed pliers to do this. Remove the handle and door assembly. Now just reverse the procedure, turn the power on and you are good to go!!!
