noisy microwave
Simply remove the 5 screws that holds up the bottom panel of the microwave, disconnect the plug from the drive motor and remove the one screw that holds the drive motor in place. Simply reverse the steps and you're good to go. The only challenge was re-attaching the screw for the drive motor (A bit small) but once reconnected, everything else goes smoothly.

The Microwave would make a grinding noise .
I removed the front plate to the microwave that had six screws and dropped the front plate down and removed the motor and installed a new one. Replaced the plate and re-plugged the microwave back in and tested the unit and was all fixed. It was a very easy installation and only took me about 20 minutes to does this

Light bulb replacement
Buying the bulb and doing the replacement my self was the best thing I had done. The same problem happened last year and I had the American Home shield insurance at that time so I called the company and they took three weeks between ordering and replacing the light, they showed me the final bill and it was $240.00....!!! This time I bought the light through partselect, got it within 48 hours and did he replacement myself within 15 min, I followed the instructions on the video and had to do an extra step ( due to the model I have) but I was able to replace the bulb and yooohooo it was working when I reconnect the power... I am a person who never tried to fix any electrical appliance before, but after this experience I will always try to do it myself... Believe me if I can do it and felt it was easy you can do it.... Thank you Partselect.... I can't speak high enough about you

Plastic turntable coupler broke
1. Unplug the microwave or switch off the breaker to the microwave. 2. Unscrew 5 screws on the bottom plate of the microwave. The plate swings down by the hinges on the back. 3. Unplug the wires leading to the turntable motor and make note of which color wire goes on which side of the motor plug. 4. The initial instructions said unscrew the screw holding the motor but my model has two screws. Remove the screws and lower the motor. 5. Insert the plastic coupler from inside the microwave through the hole in the center of the base. The coupler has a half moon shaped female shaft that connects to the male shaft that extends up from the motor. Slide the motor shaft into the plastic coupler. 6. Replace the screws that hold the motor onto the base of the microwave. 7. Plug the power wires back into the motor with the wires in the correct position as noted above. 8. Plug in the microwave and turn it on to check if the turntable now turns. Mine did not at first so I unplugged the microwave and the motor wires. It turns out you can plug the motor wires in and they don't connect correctly. I reconnected the motor plug and plugged the microwave back in and turned it on. This time the turntable was working. 8. Replace the five screws on the bottom plate of the microwave. Done.

Light out in Microwave Oven
Read the instructions-unplugged. Removed two screws on top of microwave holding the grill in place. Moved grill to left and removed it. Removed old charcoal filter and then removed one more screw from bulb cover (just below charcoal filter). Removed the lamp from the bracket and replaced with new lamp being careful not to touch with fingers because oil will destroy halogen bulbs (use packing material to put in bulb). Replaced lamp in bracket; replaced bulb cover & screwed in place; replaced charcoal filter;& replaced grill & plugged in.

Insulator around light socket Broke.
Took out five screws on microwave bottom, removed the two screws in the socket and unplugged the light socket. Plug in new socket, screw in place with 2 screws. Lock in microwave bottom, and screw in 5 screws. Replace bulbs. Be sure and either unplug microwave or switch off at electric service box, before starting. Of course, hubby did all the work, but I supervised.

the light over the stove top went out
I tried to replace a light bulb over the cook stove without turning off the power supply. The light socket had deteriorated and the bulb base shorted out on the microwave frame. I ordered new sockets and bulbs. Replacing them was s simple matter with the power off. However, there was still no lights working with the power on. I pulled to cover off on top of the microwave (two screws) and checked the fuse. Continuity test showed it to be ok. Next I pulled the cover off the control panel and pulled out the mother board. On the back side I noticed two burnt pins. I applied solder with a solder gun to replace the burnt off solder. I put it all back together and it works fine.

Replaced burned out lightbulbs
Disassembled the bottom of the microwave in order to access the lightbulb sockets. Unfortunately, 1 of the 2 replacement bulbs broke during the installation process - 1 of the pins broke off while trying to insert it. Now I have only 1 bulb so the light is not as bright as it should be. It took me several trips the HomeDepot only to have to return the bulbs. Fortunately, PartSelect shipped the correct replacement bulbs the first time.

Microwave needed replacement of its charcoal filter
The top edge of the microwave has a grill that had to be removed. To do that we took the two screws off and slowly slid the grill to the left before removing it. We had seen this on youtube. We have to be careful here because the grill has three plastic tabs that we cannot see. These tabs slide out from their tiny slots in bigger slots when we are sliding the grill to the left. The grill then comes off easily. No force is needed here so be gentle as much as you can. The charcoal filter can then be inserted in the microwave and tilted holding the front edge. The filter rests at an angle. The edges of the filter fits in the two corners of the space for the filter. The grill can then go back in place again with its tabs to slide in their slots slowly. Screws go back too. You now have a new charcoal filter for 6 months to a year depending on frequency of usage.
