DU1055XTSQ3 Whirlpool Dishwasher - Instructions

remove top rack, discribed in video, removed bottom spinner,removed water channel to top, removed screwes in screen in bottom, removed 1 screw above chopper ass, used neadle nose plyers to remove chopper, rember to compress chopper spring to install. installed in reverse order..

Took out old dishwasher rack and replaced with new.

Cleaned area around food chopper. Replaced food chopper.

Removed the screws under the counter, retracted the leveling bolt jacks, turned off power to unit, turned off water supply to unit and made sure that all the water was out of the unit. Disconnect supply and drain lines. slide out unit from under counter and put protection over the door then lay it over onto the door. unplug the motor remove the screw that holds the motor in place, turn the motor counterclock wise, wiggle the motor in a side to side motion and it will come right out.(GLOVES ARE RECOMENDED FOR THIS OPERATION). Use cooking spray or olive oil on the O-ring. line up the arrow on the pump housing with the arrow on the pump motor and put the unit back together in the reverse order. Test the unit with a operation of a quick rinse to check of leaks. This is a very easy repair.

Removed unit from counter. Replaced element.

I remodeled my kitchen with new cabinets. In order to better utilize cabinet space, I located the dishwasher away from the sink, which means that I had to have a longer drain hose. Rmoved door skin to dishwasher. Then remove screws on the back side of the detergent/rinse aid despenser. Remove old despenser and install new one.Install all screws. Took about 15min. Very easy fix.I recieved the part very rapidly , Thanks partselect.com.

Disconnected the power. Removed the dishwasher mount screws from under the counter. Slid the Dishwasher out. Removed the two wires. Loosened and removed the two heater support nuts. Removed the heater element from inside the dishwasher. Placed the new heater element inside. Tightened the nuts. Attached the wires. Pushed the dishwasher back in place. Replaced the under-counter support screws. Reset the diagnostics message on the dishwasher front panel (This may not be necessary for some) - (Press HI TEMP > AIR DRY > HI TEMP > AIR DRY). Pulled the dishwasher out, removed 2 wires and 2 plastic nuts, removed old heating element, installed new heating element, applied nuts, connected 2 wires pushed the dishwasher back in, drank beer (Per instructions on email - really liked).

I look at the video you put up to help. The part was replace and my dish washer works really well now. I will use this site again and well tell my friends also. Thank You for all your help . Mark

As directed online

Removal and replacement of the gasket required no tools and took very little time. However, this did not solve the problem. I called in a repairman who determined the issue was the washer was not filling to the proper level. The control board was replaced and the problem was solved. This also quieted the washer a lot in that the pump was no longer sucking air.

Had to find the leak first, which was a big process. Once found, it was a matter of removing the part, looking it up om partselect.com , ordering it and reinstalling which wasn't too difficult. The installation took about 45 minutes. I was psyched to find a website that could simplify this repair without calling a mechanic or plumber!
