Dryer Would Not Turn On
The knob would not turn on the dryer which was less than 2 years old. I took the knob off and notice that the inside was plastic and was cracked. I went online and was able to find the PartSelect website. I ordered on Sunday and the knobs were delivered on Tuesday. My dryer is working. I was very pleased with the service that I got from PartSelect.

Dryer Belt Squealing
I followed the provided video precisely. Made the job quite easy. My only problem is I'm 6'2", 275 lbs. with bad knees. Can't go at it exactly as shown in the video because I can't squat down in front of the dryer without pain. Called in a neighbor of smaller stature for him to come from one side, and me from the other. Worked flawlessly. Video is excellent. I do recommend wearing gloves and/or long sleeve shirt. I cut up my arms a bit, but that could have been easily avoided.

Gas dryer would not stay hot
Did some research and found my best solution was the coils at the heat source. There are two and I did not want to bother trying to figure out witch one was bad so I replaced them both (Only 25.00 a piece). On line service manual helped me take things apart.

dryer would no longer heat up
If I put the switch "in-between" heat settings it would sometmes work. Ordered the replacement, when it came I turned off power to the dryer. I removed 3 screws from the back to open up the top panel. All the knobs on the panel where removed and the panel was pulled open to expose the switch. The wires to the switch were removed after drawing a simple diagram to match them back with the new switch. A clockwise twist removed the old one and reversing the procedure put the new one in. Hooked up wires, closed the up the panel, reattached with the 3 screws, put on the knobs and turned back on the power. Everything worked!

High pitch squeal
Removed 2 Phillips heads on front panel. Removed 4 hex heads on back panel controller. Took off lid. Took 2 Phillips screws on inside by door out. Lifted door off. Discovered on front seal housing 2.5 of 4 seals gone. Replaced front seal bearing and lower felt seal.. A must...vacuum at all the dust! Replaced the green and white seals. Put all back together. My 17 year old dryer is like new again and quiet. Did this for $37. Front seal housing was fine so could have did for $20. Also thanks part select. I ordered at noon on Monday and had Tuesday at 5pm.
