Hex Nut

This hex nut is an authentic Whirlpool part that is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer, and will fit a variety of appliances including ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, and dishwashers. It is a metal part with a threaded hole to fasten parts in the appliance together. It is common for this part to wear out; it is recommended to order a spare. To replace this part the tools needed are a nut driver or wrench. This nut features a built-in external tooth lock washer, which is used to help keep the nut in place.

Float

If the bucket is full indicator on your dehumidifier is on but the bucket is empty, you may have a problem with the float. If you notice that the float is warped or damaged, it should be replaced. This device is located near the bucket and prevents the dehumidifier from overflowing. You will need to open up the dehumidifier to complete this repair. This product is approximately 4 inches in length. Many of our customers have rated this repair as easy. To complete the repair simply remove the clips that hold the float in place, attach the new float, and replace the clips.

Humidistat Control

The humidistat control, used in dehumidifiers, switches the dehumidifier on and off automatically to maintain humidity. If the switch does not work, the humidifier will not maintain the temperature properly. For this repair, screwdrivers are the only tools needed. First remove the knob and the screws from the top. Pry back the plastic retainers on one side of the old humidistat and remove wires before installing the new part and reattaching the two wires that connect to it. Remember to unplug the humidifier from the power source before installation.

Condensor Fan Blade - Black

This fan blade is used with some dehumidifiers. At just under 10 inches long, it is black and comes with a retaining clip and screw. This part may bend or break over time and will need to be replaced. If the fan blade is not working you will not hear the fan blowing air across the coils when it is turned on. This could cause the dehumidifier to freeze up. You will need to remove the front panel and take the motor out to access this part. This is an OEM part that comes right from the manufacturer.

The knob one turns to set the humidity level was removed. The two screws holding the top on were removed. The top was lifted and swung to the side.
