Rear Drum Bearing Kit

This rear drum bearing kit is designed for use with dryers. It supports the rear of the drum in your appliance as it tumbles your clothes during the drying cycle. If your drum will not tumble, or if it is making a lot of noise, it could be an issue with this part. This is a ball-and-socket style bearing. You will need to replace this if the bushing has worn out, or if the ball support is damaged. Drum Roller Shaft Washer

If you notice that your dryer is noisy or will not tumble, then you may need to replace the drum roller shaft washer. This drum roller shaft washer is just under an inch in diameter and is sold individually. It is located on the shaft of the drum roller, in the interior of your dryer. To access the drum roller shaft, you will need to remove the front panel of your dryer, and then remove the drum. Before completing this repair, be sure to disconnect the power source from the dryer. Tools required for this repair include a 5/16 nut driver, a stubby Phillips screwdriver, and a pair of snap ring pliers.

I looked in my appliance paperwork, found the model number, keyed it in, located and ordered the knob. It arrived in a few days and voila, pushed new knob on and dryer is back in great working order. Thanks! read more

1. Unplug dryer from outlet
2. Using Lg. flat screwdriver, pry under the front edge of the top and release two spring tabs
3. Lift up top and tilt back out of your way
4. Unscrew two phillips scews on inside of front panel
