Dryer making all kinds of noises
I took the Dryer apart easily just as the instruction video showed. I quickly noticed that I needed what was described as Gray or Green slides as well as the white slides recommended. I had to find them locally and it took an hour to retrieve them from a local repair shop. The Rear Drum Bearing was extremely hard to remove from inside the Drum. The screws had frozen in place. Finally broke them loose with Vise Grips from the back side. All the new parts went in very easy. Highly recommend getting Green Slides and also since it's apart put a new belt on, which I did not do.

Dryer was making a grinding noise.
My dryer was making a grinding noise so I tore it apart using a screw driver, a torks bit and a pair of pliers. It took about 15min to get it appart. I found the idler pully was worn out and broke in 2 pieces. I ordered the new part along with a new belt, since I had it appart, and they arrived the next day. It took about a half hour to put the new parts in and put the dryer back together. Works great now. While I had it apart I cleaned the elements and greased the bearing.

Drum wobbling and thumping
Followed the Part Select video instructions which made the repair really easy!! Thanks for a job well done! ALSO.. the drum wobble was not caused by worn slides and felt. There are three screws holding the drum axle flange. Two of them fell out leaving the drum to flop about as it rotated. So we scavenged some screws from elsewhere on the dryer and problem solved. Once again.. thanks to Part Select for great instructional videos and great customer service ordering parts.

Broken handle on dryer
The part was shipped quickly and I received it within the week. I was afraid that because it is an older dryer the new handle would not be compatible, but it was! It installed easily, it only took a few seconds to clip it in and now it's as good as new!

dryer would not turn on
I opened the control panel from the back. I held the new switch next to the old switch and changed one wire at a time so that I would be sure they were connected in the same manner. It was simple. I have American Home Shield and I usually call them for repairs. Sometimes they are slow and after 3 days the contractor that they usually call didn't have a work order from them. I was tired of waiting so I ordered the part myself. I got overnight shipping and repaired it myself for about half what the American Home Shield minimum charge would have been. The day I got the dryer working again, the contractor called to scheduyle a time to come to my house. I told him the repair was done and I didn't need him. It made me feel good to take care of it myself and save money too.

I broke the handle on the dryer door.
All that was needed when I got the new handle from Fed-ex, was simply to line-up the clips with the holes in the door and push in till everything snapped in place. It was very easy. It took longer to open the package than to attach the handle.

Cracked timer knob
I had found out that reason the timer knob cracked was because the timer switch was turning very tight and caused the knob to crack and realized that dryer also needed a timer switched witch I also ordered from you. I really like how very helpful parts select is with the instructions you send along with the parts I ordered witch will save alot of time. Thanks For your help Ezequiel Escamilla

Wouldnt shut off and was making an awful noise
So I have been living with Dryer issues for over a year now. Finally was about to buy a new dryer but saw a youtube video that showed me how to fix the problem and directed me to this website. I love this site! It made finding the problems, parts, and how to fix it so easy. Thank you.

Loud and annoying sqeaking noise while running.
Thanks completely to the free videos on PartSelect.com. At first I thought it was the bearing at the rear of the drum. After ordering that part, I realized the noise was from the front of the dryer. I watch some more videos and decided it was the Front Drum Bearing and the 4 drum bearing slides. Parts were very inexpensive. The job took less than 15 minutes. Just had to remove the top dryer panel and pull out the front panel (with door) just a little to replace the front bearing. My dryer is now super quiet and like brand new again.
