Broken Knob on my 15 year old dryer
The knob to start my dryer broke about a year age. I was using pliers to start the dryer. I was sure I would never find a replacement part and it was just a matter of time before the plier trick would break the start knob. I decided to look on line for a replacement knob sure that I wouldn't find one. Clicked on PartSelect, enter General Electric dryer and a bit more simple info and there was the part I needed. This site has everything. My dryer is good as new. Thanks PartSelect

Broken "start" knob
The start knob had crack in it that was getting bigger, and we'd begun using pliers to start it. Not only was it unwieldy but I thought it would eventually strip the metal stem. Of course this was a breeze of a repair--we just slid the new knob on. But my husband had been certain that finding a replacement knob--or calling a dealing and ordering the part--would be a big deal. I said: "But let's just try on-line." We quickly found the model # inside the dryer door. We filled in the appliance info, the part popped up. I ordered it. It arrived in 2 days. It's like new.

Knob Broken
The knob had broken off a few months ago. I didn't think to look for one on the internet. I finally googled the brand name and part number and your company came up. It had the picture of the part which I ordered immediately. It came in the mail really quickly. I was so excited when I received the knob. I took it out of the package and slipped it over the stem in less than a minute. It went on perfectly. Now I no longer need to use pliers to turn on the dryer. It looks great and I am no longer inconvenienced. I love the new knob and would do business with this company again.

The dial on the timer slipped around!
I thought that the timer was broken but when I pulled the knob off, there was a slight crack in it so before I contemplated calling a service person, I ordered a new knob. Now it works just fine and turns with the usual 'clicks' that I wasn't hearing since it broke. For the $20 ( including S&H ) It was worth the try. Thanks for the website, very easy to use!

Start switch broke off
I followed the video instructions. I did have to run to the hardware store to pick up a torx screwdriver but otherwise the instructions were perfect. I generally hire someone to do repairs, but this was too easy! I highly recommend doing this yourself as it is definitely a time and money saver. The website made ordering easy and the part arrived quickly!

Dryer Start knob broken inside of stem.
Knob stem was split, leaving the metal bushing on the dryer's Start switch. Used pliers to remove metal collet. Aligned new knob to switch, and firmly pushed replacement part into place. Tested results and found it to be satisfactory.

Selector Knob and rotary switch broken
Unplugged dryer and pulled away from wall a sufficient distance to be able to stand behind it. Located the four screws located along to top of the dryer control panel. Selected the correct torx bit (not philips or slot) and unscrewed all 4 screws. Front of control panel rotated open such that the inside of the rotary start switch was visible. Removed broken switch by pushing down the catch tab with one finger and using the other hand to rotate the switch counter-clockwise about 1/4 turn (to the 9 o'clock position). Installed new switch by inserting in the same 9 o'clock position and rotating clockwise until the metal tab locked the stitch in place. Used a vacuum to clean out lint and replaced panel and securing with the 4 screws. Attached the new selector know by lining up with hole and pushing in. Took the extra 2 minutes unscrew the band holding the air vent and vacuum the lint out. Replaced the flexible vent by tightening the band. Carefully pushed back the dryer, ensuring not to kink the flexible vent. Plugged dryer back in. Worked like a champ.
