If the drawer slide track is broken, not sliding, or is not dispensing water, then changing the right side drawer can be the solution to the following problems. Dispenser Door Assembly or Flapper

The dispenser door assembly (or flapper) is what opens to release the ice once the lever has been pressed. This part mounts in the ice dispenser. The cranker no longer comes with this part. You can use the original crank. The crank is sold separately depending on the model number of the appliance. For this repair, all you will need is a Phillips screw driver and a small flat blade. Disconnect the power, remove the escutcheon from around the dispenser, lift up the control panel, disconnect all wire connectors, use a screwdriver to remove all four screws of the housing, and lift the housing out. You will now see the flapper: push the tabs that are securing it in place to remove the piece, install the new flapper by lining it up and snapping into place.

SWITCH LIGHT

The interior light of your refrigerator is controlled by a switch that is activated when the door is opened and closed. If your refrigerator light will not turn on, there could be an issue with the switch. The switch is spring loaded and is a generally closed type of switch meaning there should be no continuity when the button is depressed, and continuity through the switch when the button is not depressed. This plastic, white, OEM switch is sourced directly from the manufacturer, is sold individually and is easy to replace. The repair usually takes less than 15 minutes and requires a flat blade screwdriver and needle nose pliers.

Single Outlet Valve Kit

The water inlet valve on your refrigerator allows water to enter the ice maker and water dispenser. If your ice maker or water dispenser is not functioning properly, or you notice a leak, you may need to replace the single outlet valve. This single outlet valve has 1/4-inch compressions fittings and is intended for use with refrigerators that make crescent-shaped ice cubes. As per the manufacturer, this valve has a new quick connection. You must cut the retaining nut off your current plastic water line, and gently push it into the new valve. Be sure to disconnect the water and power sources from the refrigerator before you begin this repair.

Symptom: Door did not close automatically. Also had found small chunks of black plastic on the floor. Refrigerator door was slightly lower than the freezer door.

One false start because I did not realize both of the door-closing cams had disintegrated and I had only ordered the cam without the hinge.

Fridge was not really cold. Fan was working at back of freezer. Romoved the drawers and back panel of freezer compartment. Melted ice with a blow dryer and collected water with a towel so that it would not overflow the drip pan. Installed the new defroster units with 4 screws and the easy plug in wiring harness. Bingo! Defrost timer was probably OK but... read more

Per the trouble shooting guide on the home page of the website. I suspected the defrost timer was bad because ice had heavily accumulated on the back wall of the freezer compartment and the temperature inside the refrigerator was warm. First, I removed all the freezer racks. Then removed the (4) screws on the back wall in the freezer compartment. I then ... read more
