CSF22TCB Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

Tried to switch the freezer door stop to the fridge door, but had already done that the last time the fridge door stop broke (the 2 stops are the same, but the fridge door uses the right end of the stop, while the freezer door uses the left end, so if you have a good freezer door stop and a broken fridge door stop you can switch them and you are in business). Not this time, so i had to put in a new door stop, piece of cake to install, take the bottom grille off, two screws hold the stop on, might as well clean the fur under the grille while you are at it.

My wife removed the drawer and the glass shelf. Unscrewed the broken rail and screwed in the new one. Replaced the glass shelf and the drawer and she was done.

I followed the instructions verbatim as others explained. I did it step by step exactly as instructed, The timing was almost exact no more than 30 minutes. I removed the fan the night before the delivery of the new fan and used a small desk fan to cool the compressor. It worked fine in one half hour my freezer read a perfect zero. The video on the GE site was great. Showed step by step instructions on how to remove the old ice maker and install the new one. Also helpful was the detail on the water chute which needed to be moved from the old ice make to the new one. Saved hundreds of dollars by not having to have a repairman do this work for me.

Reviewed video which was very helpful. Loosened two philips head screws, lifted up ice maker, unpluged power suppy and reinstalled. One of the easiest replacements ever!!

easy pry out, disconnect wiring, connect on new switch and press in switch.

made sure def. timer was operative. removed back panel of freezer section. found heaters bad, replaced elements also replaced sensor. I am 72yrs old so it took me longer than it should have,PartSlect send me the exact replacements parts that was needed. one day service

Removed the bins, unscrewed the rails, wiped clean the inside of the fridge, screwed in new rails, replaced bins, done

Took out one hex screw, disconnect electric couplings, pulled original ice maker out and found that the water supply line to the ice maker was frozen solid as well as the shute cup. Used hair dryer to thaw out the line and the cup reinstaled old ice maker and it worked fine. Did not have to use the new part at all at this time. Am keeping new part for future use.

Removed food from shelf, removed shelf, removed slide. installed new slide. Perfect fit

watched the video on changing the cam and then did the repair as per the instructions. the job was easy and now the door works as it should. that saved me lots of money by doing it myself. thanks, Martin.

The adapter made the cord a bit long but other than that it was great!!!

I watched the video from the link that was sent to me with the shipping notice. It was very easy to understand. I had no trouble at all. I'm 75 years old woman, however, and I can fix about anything. Don't be afraid to fix appliances yourself if you feel you have the knowledge.

Instructions that came with the part were useless. I would have created new problems if I had attempted to follow the instructions. However, once I had the old part removed and put it beside the new part, required repair process was obvious, easy and quick. Frig now makes ice better than it ever did.

I'm a housewife in her late 40's. Before ordering the part, I watched your video on how to remove and install the new icemaker. First I unplugged the refrigerator. After a few minutes, I unplugged the icemaker and unscrewed it. I lifted it a bit and removed it. I did not use the icecup that comes with the part. Instead I removed the one from the old part and inserted it to the new one. Then I plugged in the new icemaker, placed it inside so as to match the holes and screwed it in. YES, it was that simple. It took me less than 10 minutes to do this. I saved myself over $100!!
