CPL1100BDW16 Magic Chef Range - Instructions

I numbered every part. ex: 1 L., for first part removed left side. I used a magic marker to circle the holes and wrote the number of screws used on the part, set the srews in a separete place, so that I new where these screws went to. The cleanup was pretty time consuming, but I was able to keep my stove, when every repairman I called to fix my stove told me I was better off buying a new stove. ($600.00 stove 2 years old)Please Note: The insulation blanket needed for the entire stove is two pieces, the sides and top are one part # and the bottom and back, are another part #. I did not know this. I just purchased the top and sides. I got lucky, the back and bottom were still in good shape. So I guess I should have read the description of the part more carefully to see what it covers, before I ordered it. It took two people two hours to do the work, it was really nice to have an extra set of eyes, to remember what direction pieces of metal from the stove went. I would do it all over in a heart beat instead of buying a new stove.

This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

First I removed the oven door by pulling straight up off of the hinges in the open postion. Next remove oven racks,then use 1/4 nutdriver to remove back screws on inside oven bottom plate. Next remove gold nut on silver tube @ pilot connection,then remove 1/4 nuts that hold pilot assembly. Next open top of stove and remove small gold nut "with the thin wire from pilot"attached to the back left of oven control knob. Snake that nut and wire from the top of the stove down to the oven and removethe whole pilot assembly. To install carefully unroll the new pilot assembly starting from the oven "there are two round holes you need to snake the tube into"and up behind the back & into the stove top. Make your connection@ the oven assembly. Next attach the assembly with the 1/4 screws that you removed,then make your connection"gold screw silver tube" now push in your oven control knob to alllow gas to flow to the pilot tube and check for leaks with a water @ soap solution. No bubbles no leaks. Light your pilot . . . . You must hold in the oven knob. Put back in oven plate,,,, 1/4 screws,,,,racks close the stove top ,put door back on hinges and your done. . . . . Just used a car oil filter band type wrench and rotated the sealed burner cap a 1/4 turn. cleaned up the rust and dirty. Replaced it with the new cap and tightened it with a 1/4 turn by hand. Instruction can be found on Maytag gas installation manual. The burners are working well and just like a new range.

Opened the box and took out the black color grates~~removed discolored grates and put the new ones on. Looks like a brand new stove and much nicer to look at as it is the first thing you see when you enter the kitchen.

Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you

I did turn the gas off, then ,used my nutdriver,pliers and wrench{adjustable} to removed the old pilot and put the new one in.I turn
the gas back on and ignite with the lighter and it back on and it is working perfect.Thank you partselect.

just turn the burners counter clock wise with the help of a jar opener pad. unplug the wire connectors and replace the burners no hassle, no problem. Everything went fine… one thing though, it is not the same color as it was before. I didn’t realize it until opening the box. Previous color was grey. My wife is Ok with it, so I won’t complain, but maybe you should add the color option if there is more than one choice.

Unplugged the burner heads from the wires, and simply put the wires on the new burner heads and put back onto the stove,. Simple as pie. Very happy that i found parts select online, easy to find the part though your pictures and easy to order.
Loved being able to do this myself without a middle man. Very satisfied!

Turned burner about a quarter of a turn, lifted, disconnected wires, connected them to a new burner and replaced it.

installation was very simple and took less than 5 minutes. first unscrew the burner cap and then remove the 2 wires. to replace reconnect the 2 wires to the new cap and twist cap into place-simple.

Took the old levelling leg out and screw the new one in.

all i did was twist the burner counter-clockwise unplug 2 wires and installed the new ones, real easy, it took me about 7-8 minutes for the 4 burners, that was all, our stove is working like new now, albert

Removed old, install new
