I unscrewed the inner part of the door (not the bottom screws)from the front of the dishwasher. This allowed the latch assembly to be disconnected by the two wire leads. They were tough to get off, maybe due to age and mositure but they did break loose. The new part was than connected easily to the two wire leads. I put the handle assembly back into place and put the screws back in the door. And now it works like a champ again!

The basic repair was easy, selecting the part on-line was the hardest part of the process. I was afraid the part would be similar, not the same. But the part fit exactly. Once I deduced that the circuit breaker was off, it worked perfectly. The video was helpful to assure I installed it correctly. Thanks for your help Part Select.

1- replaced accumulator filter and docking station with flappers, the docking station with flappers may not have been necessary? But what the heck, if your into it this far why not. Check out the tech. Video it was helpful. The dishwasher works like new now. 2- the door latch switch was worn out, to replace this part I first unplugged the power cord then removed the 8 screws from the inner panel of the door exposing the door latch assembly. Unplugged the two connectors and installed the new part and reassembled everything, pretty easy! The dishwasher works like new now, and for around $ 102.00 bucks, saved lots of money doing it myself, thank you Parts Select for your help. Carlos, Lancaster, California.
