Capacitor

This capacitor is also known as a run capacitor, and it is most often used in refrigerators and freezers. Doing so enables the appliance to effortlessly maintain its internal temperature. If the capacitor is faulty your refrigerator or freezer might be too warm, or you may notice the compressor will hum, but it will not run. When replacing your capacitor, you should check the old one for any signs of damage, overheating, or arcing, as that may suggest there is a bigger problem with your appliance.
