Roommate did the repair..so I don't know. I did the research online, the igniter solved the problem. Saved us buying a new oven!

Take top cover off take gear box cover off. check all gears for wear and clean all of above. Be sure you identify all parts needed before you order plus assembly grease!

Insert one end of the railing into the slot in the back of the stove. Align the front end of the railing with the hole at the front of the stove. Align the roller with the hole. Secure the front end of the railing, roller ,and hole with the shoulder bolt using a 10mm wrench. Tighten just enough but don't over tighten.

Removed the burners 2 screws per burner disconnected the wires to the burners. Lifted the oven top off removed original ignition module. Installed wires to the new module taking note of replacement location. Than mounted new ignition module. Tha only hiccup was dropping 1 screw down into the stove lining found replacement screw and installed module. Cleaned and replaced top. Mounted burners and the stove is working like new. Project proved to be quite simple and guick. Thanks to partselect for there prompt delivery and other peoples input on install made it quite easy and simple,

1. Remove the oven bottom inside the oven. 2. Remove the pan underneath the oven bottom by undoing one hex nut. 3. Once this is done the oven igniter is visible. It is located in a protective housing. 4. Remove the three sheet metal screws that hold the igniter housing in place. 5. To unplug the igniter remove the storage door. Underneath the oven there is a access panel. Remove it by taking out the two sheet metal screws. Once this is removed the igniter can be unplugged. 6. Pull the old igniter out of the housing and carefully install the new one in it. Careful the ceramic igniter is fragile. 7. Plug the new igniter in and screw the housing back in place. Changing the igniter was easy once we found the panel after removing the storage drawer that made it possible to unplug the old igniter and plug in the new one.

turn the power off first, remove knobs, removed burners,disconnected wire from igniter,raise the top of the stove,re rmoved wire from the door lock removed two screws remove the door lock itself, then put all back on in same order as I remove. Main thing to remember is to writeyour colors of the wire down so you know where to replace them.

Took off the grills and drip pans. Removed the 8 screws, 2 from each burner, which hold on the top. Gently lift burners and pull off electrical contact from each. Lift off and set top aside. Removed knobs on front of oven and screws below each knob. Removed the screws holding the front plate and carefully pry the manifold assembly from the front plate so that the valve shaft is just inside the front plate. Disconnect the old switch and slide off the shaft, then replace with the new switch and reassemble all.

Inside the oven: Pull the bottom floor pan off, just lift up in front and pull back.--Then take the one hex nut off the burner diffuser and lift off.--Remove under storage drawer. On Bottom of oven (Underside): Take off plate in back (2 ea screws) so you can unplug wire to igniter.------Go back inside oven and remove the 3 ea. screws that hold the igniter and holder/guard in place.-----Pull the igniter out.------Replace the new igniter in the holder/guard being careful not to crack the igniter.------Reverse procedure to re-install new unit.

I removed the bottom cover and the heat shield, then removed the screws that hold the igniter mounting bracket. After removing the drawer and the wiring cover I disconnected the igniter wires. I then removed the igniter and mounting bracket, pulling the wires through the hole at the rear of the lower burner box. I installed the new igniter by reversing the process.

We unplugged the stove and turned off the gas. We slid the oven door off just to make it easier. Unscrewed 3 screws holding the igniter in place. Pulled the igniter out from the back of the stove. Disconnected the two wires. Slid the new igniter in the holder. Rewired it and slid it back into place. Put the screws back in and it was done. Plugged it back in, turned the gas on, tried it out and presto! It was perfect! Lit immediately and strong and now i have a brand new 20 year old stove. lol Happy girl! And this was done by 2 50 year old women!

Since the broiler was operational, this indicated the gas valve was probably functional since it provides gas to both the broiler and oven. I ordered the igniter based on other recommendations because the gas valve will not open until the igniter is drawing adequate current. This fixed my problem.

The burner has two screws holding it in place. I remover those and lifted the burner up. I then disconnected the wire attached to the igniter that was on the old burner and attached it to the igniter that was pre-installed on the new burner. I then placed the burner back into position and reinstalled the two screws. The reason that I bought the burner assembly is that I was unable to unscrew the screw underneath that held the igniter in place on the old burner.

Removed old igniter and replaced with new one.Tested oven and it went on. You need a phillips screwdriver to remove two screws and a small socket for the third screw to remove the igniter cage. Then pull out the wires from under the oven and disconnect. Reverse procedure to install new igniter. Reuse original connectors. Be very careful with the igniter because the tip is very fragile and can break easily.

after checking on line using model number and calling parts select ,the spark module was found to be defective, placed my order with them and at a very reasonable price replacedthe wires and module, very simple repair ,unplugging the range first I simlply removed the top by removing the two screws on each burner ,lifting off the top after disconnecting the wires from the burners ,carefule not to break the ends of the wires off and mixing them up, I simpley on screwed the module and removed each wire seperatly and replaced them one by one on the new module replaced the module on the range, hooked the wires up and presto done screwed downed the burners ,gas range works great thank you parts select for your parts and help,you saved me a bundle of money
